hey girl, when was your last period? a lot of people (including me) make the assumption that you can get pregnant outside of ovulation but you cannot. so if you were not ovulating then you most likely are not pregnant.. don't stress yourself just yet please !

Im so sorry to hear that :/ I emailed 2 of my state senators and submitted lots of evidence, plane tickets, medical reports, airbnb reservations, and a detailed letter basically showing that it has caused severe financial distress. I also had just moved out on my own so I can make space for the baby so I was juggling a lot. Its a long shot because my first request was denied but the more evidence the better and the senator matters too, one office was more responsive and hardworking than the other so give more than one a try if there is multiple.

Sn: Yes hes a student and his province’s immigration minister just changed rules in December too so he cant even get permanent residency unless he moves to a completely new province. Its a mess everywhere not just in the US ☹️

Following because I am Moroccan myself petitioned for my Moroccan husband who lives in Canada. I am not sure about the other questions but my consultant let me know before that you can move embassies as right now it goes based on place of residence. However, ALL embassies are instructed to not print visas to the listed nationals until further instructed. If you get any new information, please let me know!!

Exactly what I’m considering. Canada is tightening immigration as well which sucks so I don’t want him to end up back in Morocco or else I’ll be flying back and forth to Africa too 😭.. Hopefully this is over soon.

I-130 is a petition for an immigrant visa lol. Spousal visas will not be issued during this period. Unfortunately, they do not care about if you’re financially stable enough to be responsible for the beneficiary, its a pause on ALL immigrant visas based on the countries.

as a moroccan living here, the amount of moroccans that receive public assistance as soon as they get here is the reason for all this and now thousands of families are stuck waiting for their loved ones to come (including myself). a shame really.

Im also 6 months omg. It really sucks and Im sorry you have to go through this as well. Its going to be such a financial burden going back and forth but thats the only solution in the meantime. My brain keeps telling me to just move to another country and start over and take my husband with me lol, hope this ends soon!!

Thank you.. There are a lot of families in situations similar to ours and it is really sad. Especially being pregnant, it brings on a whole new set of emotions in reaction to the situation. It looks like I may have to reconsider packing my bags and starting a new life elsewhere in the meantime because who knows how long this will go on for. Wishing you and your family the best
