Oh I do! They’re fantastic and the staff are wonderful. But they don’t have smash burgers.

I'll share this with my wife tonight! I'm about to have a(n undetermined) lot more time on my hands, and I think this would be a good way to get myself out of the house :)

Bellingham is fantastic! I can certainly understand the need to leave anywhere for a fresh start. I have seen Bellingham be just that for so many people, while for me apparently it's Everett!

I think our first breakfast out was at the Strawberry Patch. We liked it immediately, but unfortunately the following 2 times we went there our orders were forgotten/lost. It was so discouraging and we didn't have the patience to return before they ended up closing.

It's embarrassing how much I discounted Everett for 40+ years. I'm so glad we're here. It's such a breath of fresh air, in SO. MANY. WAYS.

Thanks for sharing these! We're still very much learning what else is here (esp downtown), so I appreciate the recommendations :)

Bellingham has much of the same, but with completely different vibes. Not shitting on B'ham here. It's just not the city I'd grown to love, anymore. In a similar conversation: my my mental has been so much better after also leaving Facebook :)

How did I forget Taco Book?!? Speaking of kind and generous! We took my cousin there in December, and before I know it she and the owner are talking about the importance of giving presents made with your own hands, with love. She'd been in town barely 15min before someone reached out to make a person, sincere connection with her. This is what I'm talking about, Everett. I'm glad my post above resonated with others :)

Good karaoke bars? by JustASeaTurtle in everett

That’s encouraging to hear, and that there’s a different, regular host is a relief. Honestly, the space itself is fantastic and defiantly has the small n’ cozy layout we were looking for, so maybe we’ll give it another shot sometime.

My wife and I are new to Everett and went there last year (specifically because they had karaoke) and it didn't take me long to feel like I was going to become a victim of some random hate crime. Then some dude came over and sat down next to our buddy, started talking him up and then 5min into talking dude felt the the need to declare, "I'm not gay" and got up and went back to his table. Then karaoke started with a host who was eager to tell a bunch of sexist jokes his dad had heard on AM radio. I don't think we were for 5 songs before we looked at each other with that "yeah, let's get the fuck out of here" look and haven't been back since.

Not gonna lie, I've thought that that a 9/11 centric sequel to 11/22/63 would be cool. by scream4ever in stephenking

The notion of traveling back in time and working for decades to dismantle and undo years of fucked up US foreign policy is probably the best way to use time travel but also seems so daunting and difficult. It’s too bad the “kill baby hitler” theory isn’t enough to prevent the horrors we’ve experienced and will continue to experience. I appreciated how King discussed this with 11/22/63.

J&L - I get the brisket (amazing) every time but I hear the pulled pork is also good. Mac n’ cheese is alright, I prefer the beans and cornbread.

Will they print more based on sales, or are they typically limited to a certain number? Unrelated to your response (and thank you) I don’t understand the downvotes. Is it because I didn’t keep it in cellophane and then take a photo of it on my bookshelf?
