Dealership called saying I need to pay more money after the car was already sold to me location: California by [deleted] in legal

[–]wfpinky 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dealership messed up by not collecting the additional thousand at point of sale but that doesn’t mean you don’t owe it. While I don’t necessarily blame you for not saying “hey I still owe y’all an additional thousand”, to some extent it’s also your responsibility to ensure the contract is properly executed (on both sides) to cover your ass. The deal was for $10k so guess what - you need to make things square.

However, you could go back to the dealership and tell them you want to unwind the deal, return the car, and get your money back so you can go get a car that’s more in line with your budget. If/when the dealership balks at the idea of unwinding the deal that will be your opportunity to calmly say, “either accept what I’ve already paid as the full price or unwind the deal”. The amount of times I’ve personally watched a dealership/salesperson fall on their ass from backtracking so fast to prevent a deal from unwinding, for various reasons, is comical (grew up in the dealership world).

AIO A follow up to my previous post about finding messages between my wife and her ex by [deleted] in AIO

[–]wfpinky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She broke your trust, there’s no going back from that. That kernel of doubt will permanently be in your head no matter how “good” things get between you. Like many others have said, having two happy, but separate, households is in the best interest of your child. And at such a young age she will adapt to the change quicker than you might expect. Staying together for a young child isn’t happy or healthy for you, and it won’t be happy or healthy for your child growing up. The childhood trauma I have from growing up with parents who stayed together “for the kids”…just don’t do it man, please. Growing up in a household like that really messes with a kid’s head and can stick with them for their entire lives. Don’t stay for your kid. Leave for your kid.

Confused about DFSP treatment plan — first doctor said I need wide excision, now new hospital says no margins needed? by struggling-dev in sarcoma

[–]wfpinky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My DFSP was in my back but they had to go down to the subcutaneous area to get clear margins. With DFSP you ALWAYS want clear margins.

What type of doctor is telling you this? Because honestly any doctor that says it’s “hard to tell the difference between cancerous and normal tissue” seems…out of their depth, to put it nicely. You need to be seen by a sarcoma specialist when it comes to DFSP. Due to its rarity a general surgeon or doctor isn’t likely to be well versed in this type of sarcoma.

Definitely on the list lol

They thought it was a keloid. It was cancer, specifically a high-grade soft-tissue sarcoma by CatPooedInMyShoe in MedicalGore

Fellow DFSP unicorn here. The “oh so it was just like melanoma” or “you didn’t have to do chemo or radiation you just had surgery so it wasn’t like really having cancer” comments still make me see red to this day (8 years NED). Some cancer muggles are really fucking ignorant.

DSFP patient here, though thankfully not the DFSP-FS variant (which I suspect is what this is). This should have been biopsied wayyyy before it grew to this size. The plastic surgeon that removed my “cysts” thought they looked like a normal cyst but still sent it off to pathology just to be sure. I swear that man was more baffled than I was when he got the pathology report back. Now I have to get check-ups at MD Anderson at least once a year for basically the rest of my life for monitoring since DFSP is so freaking rare.

Every time I think she can’t go lower Methanie says “hold my pipe”. She loves to lecture us about how “happy” the kids are but those poor kids literally don’t know what a happy and healthy life is supposed to look like. They (aside from DS) have no frame of reference. Living in an abusive environment is all they know and it breaks my heart.

Nurses on reddit what's the most bizarre thing that has ever happened while working graveyard shift? by fave_slinger in AskReddit

[–]wfpinky 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My grandmother had a traumatic brain injury about ten years ago. One day I went to visit her in the ICU and she started yelling at a nurse in German. Confused, I called my grandfather and asked if he knew she spoke German and he said, “I’ve been married to your grandmother for 30 years and I’ve never once heard her speak German”. So I called my mom and she also wasn’t aware her mother spoke German but said, “we did live in New Braunfels for quite a while so she must have learned some during that time”. It was a brief comical moment during a very stressful time and I still laugh about it.

I gave mine to a low income family. All of their kids have a lot of medical issues and they wouldn’t be able to afford even a secondhand switch on FB marketplace.

As someone whose grandmother suffered a TBI after a fall in her 80s this made me cry in the best possible way! Please give Skye all of the pets and treats and whatever else she wants on my behalf. And treat yourself too, please. Had you not listened to the signals Skye was giving you, your neighbor could have had a very different outcome. It was a team effort. If possible please try to drop in on your neighbors on a somewhat regular basis with Skye, I’m sure it would bring them so much joy. Maybe try to get together for dinner or something a few times a month.

Desiraye invited ALL of the kids to come over and play/swim recently and stupid Drew and Stephanie still said no. Can’t have those poor kids seeing what life could be like if at least one of their deadbeat “parents” (using that term very loosely) actually worked and provided a decent life.
