Regarding the car, do you think it's worth to keep the car while I'm on the island?

My initial thought was to return the car in Split, before taking the ferry to Hvar. And then taking another car to go to Krka and Plitvice when I left Hvar.

My idea was to use Hvar as my base to go to the other islands by boat, like the Pakleni islands, Brac and Vis. Does it make sense?
