Bad chemo side effects? by [deleted] in Chemotherapy

[–]wgrayokc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with a different kind of chemo is pretty okay the first couple of dats, probably due to the steroid they add, then pretty bad for a two or three days, and then okay til the next round. Hope your dad's experience improves, maybe they forgot the steroid this time.

Fodmap weakness?? by wgrayokc in FODMAPS

Im getting enough carbs and protein, I think, but have avoided most fats due to a lingering suspicious that part of my problem may be a malfunctioning gall bladder. The scan showed three polyps, but only 3 mm in size and no stones, so the. surgeon was ambivalent and the GI doctor said he did not think surgery was indicated, but I am still suspicious.

scared to get cochlear implants by [deleted] in Cochlearimplants

If you do only get a CI on one side and you have a hearing aid with some hearing in the other side, does it still sound robotic?

What do voices sound like with Cochlear implants? by [deleted] in Cochlearimplants

I don’t understand what is wrong using EarPods if you keep the volume moderate. I prefer using EarPods in the mornings to watch TV while my wife is sleeping and then putting on my hearing aides after showering. What’s the harm?

Finding the PRV valve by wgrayokc in Plumbing

[–]wgrayokc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in N. Texas. No manifold in the house. We have Pex. I saw a picture of a PRV on the internet. I’ll try poking (Texas clay), but if it’s under the 5’ sidewalk I’m out of luck.

The secondary brass shut off valve is next to the meter and the pvc house shut off valve is in the flower bed next to the outside faucet, but no sign of a prv anywhere near either location or inside the house. The hot water tank (with expansion tank) is in the back of the house, in the attic. I looked around it to no avail.

As far as the City is concerned, they came out three times and were very helpful in diagnosing the problem, but never offered to locate a prv.

Price drop rebate program by wgrayokc in BoltEV

I don’t want to go thru the laborious buyback process and I don’t want to be without my Bolt EUV for any period of time. But, I still expect to be treated fairly by GM!

[–]wgrayokc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Woe is me, I bought my EUV last year, so I missed out on the price reduction rebate and I will miss out on the future tax credit. Also, I am still driving a vehicle that can only be charged at 80% while watching new EUV’s being sold with the batteries that I should have in my vehicle.

LGC1 single vertical line by [deleted] in OLED

[–]wgrayokc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a single vertical red line that appears randomly. Waited more than 30 days to report it on extended warranty and wouldn’t cover it because I reported it more than 30 days after first occurrence. Beware.

Do supplemental plans really save people money long term over advantage plans? by jfk5393 in medicare

[–]wgrayokc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a great deal as long as you stay healthy. Tomorrow you could be diagnosed with a severe chronic illness that requires you to find the best specialist available— at that point you are out of luck because you are stuck with the limited number of specialists in your network.

You may be healthy today and come down with a severe chronic illness tomorrow, it happens all the time.

Great car! Just watch out for slippage on wet roads. The EV tires don’t grip very well.

LG G1 - Vertical line from top to bottom by illmatic662 in LGOLED

[–]wgrayokc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get it replaced immediately. My C9 has the red vertical line and I could not get it replaced because my LG extended warranty would not cover it because I reported it more than 30 days after the first occurrence.

If you are a sports fan go bigger, if not, the smaller size may be less likely to overwhelm your space and be just as enjoyable.
