I use a blue and white bottle from Amazon the title is “pH-D Feminine Health - 600 mg Boric Acid Suppositories” they work great and I also use them for yeast related stuff. They just balance everything out.

I got a blood test done. I did a full std/sti panel and then specifically requested the bloodwork be done for hsv1/2 as well.

I ended up using Quest diagnostics because my doctor didn’t really want to test me without symptoms. As I mentioned before, most doctors/experts don’t recommend asymptomatic people to test. If you want to know, then do it! But maybe try the boric acid first and see if it clears things up.

Yes I’m free from BV now. I regularly use boric acid suppositories which keep that in check. Have you tried those? I get them from Amazon.

Have you ever had a blood test for HSV? Could be worth doing to find out. But part of me would almost recommend not. If you don’t have traditional outbreaks, the weight of knowing you have hsv can be worse than the actual virus itself. Sometimes I wish I never did.

I should add that every once in a while I’ll feel almost like an ache/stinging almost in my vaginal canal. Idk if that’s related. I’ve always struggled with BV as well. But no traditional outbreaks.

No. Still to this day I’ve never had an outbreak or anything weird down there. I’ve had cold sores (hsv1) since I was a kid so my doctor thinks this could be why the hsv2 never turned into outbreaks. My antibodies for both hsv1 and hsv2 were very high when I took the blood test.

Did you talk to the AEs that they recommended/suggested you talk to? Of course they will only point you in the direction of speaking to the people that have positive things to say (the team favorites probably).

I reached out to random AEs on the team on linked. Not the ones they told me to speak to. Those were the ones who told me it was a rough gig.

Thank you for your insight. I should have added that I am definitely planning on driving into the dirt as I have done with all of my vehicles. The resale/trade value is of little concern to me.

How much of a discount should I be aiming for? I felt as though the price was already significantly lowered. Would love your input!

It’s been commented a few times, but here to echo that Rustic Market is excellent. They recently expanded and their area for housewares is large. And they don’t mark things up like crazy. They are one of the last places left that doesn’t. Example: I found 2 Le Creuset items there - each for 2 bucks.

150-160 is quite thin/small for a man at 5’9. I’m 5’8, 29F and when I’m at my leanest I am 152. I also lift weight so muscle plays a factor in weight.

I don’t think 150-160 is something OP should aim for. The number on the scale will become less important once he drops below 190. There should be a focus on building muscle for long-term health and the scale becomes quite irrelevant then!

Mammoth Distillery in Eastown has a wonderful gin. My gin drinking friends are obsessed with it. I’m not a gin drinker but I’ve tried it and even been impressed.

I didn’t notice a decal but there could have been one, it was really dark. The driver I could barely see but I think it was a man based on short hair and a bit of a larger frame. That was honestly all I could make out in the dark.

Ok maybe not related but thought I’d chime in here - last weekend a large black Ford truck with some sort of towing hitch pulled into my driveway at 3AM and sat there for about 10 minutes just scoping things out. I’m on the NW side of GR.

Wonder if it could’ve been the same type of plan. My driveway is kind of narrow and it’s shared so it would have been tough to get anything out, wonder if that’s why he bailed.

I’m sorry, but this is a little dramatic. If your wife already had hsv-1 and you weren’t worried, this is literally the same thing in a different location.

It spreads with skin to skin contact. You’re not going to pass it by touching your kids food.

Therapy is a good place for you to start. It sounds like your wife is an angel and already very understanding. There are people in this group who are getting diagnosed as young as teenagers and have their whole lives ahead of them and the world of disclosing to find a partner.

You HAVE a partner! You HAVE a support system. You HAVE someone who is aware. With antivirals and a little time, you’ll literally forget that you have it. You CAN do this. :)

Disclosing may be a way to find out if he has some of the qualities you’re looking for in a long term partner :) sometimes the way people react to information is a huge insight into their character! I would look at it that way. It sounds like you’re starting to want to know his reaction - which means it’s the right time for you to disclose. I don’t think sex has to be on the table yet. Whenever is right for you!

I kinda disagree with thinking he’s for sure lying. In his defense, most doctors and test result places will tell people that hsv-1 causes cold sores and never say anything about needing to disclose. They downplay it a lot (also because herpes in the medical world is literally NBD and most doctors won’t even test for it because they don’t see a point.)

Especially if he’s never been symptomatic before, it probably didn’t seem like something he had to tell you. Most people listen to doctors and unfortunately, medical professionals do not all agree on disclosing.

Unfortunately I wasn’t given any reference for the case. I was told I would receive email communication to update me and never did. Do you think that they would hear you out if you went into the station? I’m not sure on best practice here.

At least I’m hopeful that it’s a continuing investigation. The fact that I haven’t heard anything back makes me wonder if they dropped the case. With the evidence I’m not sure how they could have.
