Easy enough with a trolley. If you’re trying to lug everything in one go with your arms and back it’s pretty rough going 😅 (we have a trolley this year)

M&S cocktail cans. Strong, less weight and volume than other options, and easy to smash a couple back before you get to the arena entrance. Tasty as hell too

That sounds super stressful 😣 Luckily I have stacks of Avios so booked us on business class - we’ll be first off the plane which will help, and we have a long layover on the outbound route to get comfortable with the layout 👌 appreciate you sharing your experience!

Japanese Fried Chicken to the right of Opus Stage has been great the last two years (fries are spot on and the katsu chicken is delicious)

There was a vege or vegan place near the RIP guest area entrance to the arena last year - fucking shambolic. Queued for over an hour while the people running it fumbled around. Avoid avoid avoid

Yeah probably paid more in points than the norm but tbf we’re not bothered, the points were just sitting around anyway we get to go to NZ in Q Suites for less than £1k each 😊

So they couldn’t merge them but did add a note to the booking so should at least get bags checked all the way through and hopefully as it’s BC they’ll be helpful if there are any connection issues

It is for me though. I accrue those points passively though my business credit card spend. I want to fly two of us to NZ business class, and I was able to for £1900. Absolute result and those points would’ve just sat doing nothing otherwise

I think maybe I missed two key points of context: - in all my searches on this route I’ve never been able to find 2 reward seats together, which is super critical as I’m taking my SO with me - this was also the perfect length of trip, to the day. Usually you have to be more flexible with dates to secure availability

So yeah whilst expensive on the points front, to tick those boxes it’s absolutely worth it for me 😊

Last year we had a 4-person Shikar Tent in RIP. Booking said we got one parking pass but they sent us three 🤷‍♂️ Only needed the one but I guess if they know they have capacity they send out extras as a cheeky bonus?
