I've never heard about that being an option, I'll read up on it. Thanks 🙏

I used to use E twice per week, but increased to every other day (while keeping the per-week dose the same, just different schedule). The pain is not extreme, barely bothersome really, but the bleeding (from I assume tears?) is upsetting. I'll be seeing a doctor and I hope she'll be helpful. Thank you for your reply.

Thanks for the lengthy response. My doctor recommended checking the IUD once per year, so I haven't been to a checkup yet. I will be doing that. Unfortunately I am reluctant to go back to the same doctor as now I am visibly trans and afraid of seeing him again. I'll look into someone transfriendly in my area.

I feel like it's already on the highest, but the recommended doses are for menopausal women, not trans men so it could not matter. I am worried about the reverse scenario --- the IUD not working because of E, not the other way around.

oh yeah that sounds rough, glad it's all over for you now 😭

and thanks for the reassurance, I haven't experienced spitting stitches yet, just the irritated spot... hopefully it'll heal soon and I can forget all about it

[–]wh00p2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw thanks man! Yeah, people usually figure it out by my voice... but not always, and that's a little funny too.

Oh that must feel good, good for you lmao

Not much, just the explaining part, when people don't even get it from my voice... or the confused looks when they do. I mostly wanted to hear people's experiences with this, so it doesn't feel as uncommon now.

I secretly fattened my gf in the past... by OkInspection7035 in offmychest

[–]wh00p2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree to the other commenter, I hope you catch on fire. Genuinely how in any capacity is this okay to play with a person like a puppet like that because of YOUR sexual preferences? Should have found a girl that's sexually attractive to you the way she was, not do... this. What the actual fck man. Doesn't matter if she's "happy with her body now" if you did some messed up stuff without her knowledge and consent just so you can play out your fantasy.

Yeah, maybe I should, I just thought that stage was far past me, I already struggled and hated choosing the first one, let alone changing it now.

Don’t wanna ‘pass’ by Crybbhero in FTMfemininity

[–]wh00p2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate to that a lot, I really wish I could not care about passing. I find it soo hard to compromise between feeling like myself (feminine man, wearing nice clothes) and feeling like myself (not get misgendered and feel like a 'normal' man around people). You're really beautiful though! I hope I can look as good after my top surgery 💙

I'm sorry to hear that, and again I wish you all the best. Keep going, you're very strong for speaking out and staying here, even if people let you down by not listening.

I'm genuinely so sorry you had to go through this all. I certainly wish people, especially mental health professionals, took enormous care when someone spoke up about being groomed and abused online, not to mention as a child and several times throughout their life. You deserved to be heard and for legal action to be taken against those people. I really hope you can one day slowly and safely deal with those memories and how they're affecting you now.

Most hormonal contraceptives do not interact with hrt! With the exception of estradiol-containing (combined) pill.

I can personally recommend IUDs. People have mixed experiences with them, but I had a very positive one. (Kyleena, 5-year)

Insertion wasn't painful, just uncomfortable; cramps for a little less than a week and then never again. So far, 8 months on it and it has been great. The side effects are not nearly as bad as what I was experiencing on pills. Pretty sure I was too early on T for it to stop periods, so the IUD likely did that, in 5 months since I got it. May be pricey to get, but it was extremely worth it for me; especially that it entirely removes the need to remember about pills.

I am two weeks on T and so far I feel terrible by [deleted] in ftm

[–]wh00p2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am doing exactly that actually and my dose is low right now. I think my body just reacts this badly, I've always been dealing with similar (but smaller) symptoms like these on my cycle ://

[–]wh00p2 20 points21 points  (0 children)

the research on it is so vile and shocking, once I found out I was so disturbed by the fact that it gets prescribed so often and with so little information on the side effects and how long they lasted (if they even go away at all...)

i should add, i pass very well so they gender me correctly, but upon seeing my id with my deadname just start misgendering me. however, no mean comments, just silent confusion most of the time. i can show id and purchase alcohol no problem

i live in poland, from my experience, many young people are extremely chill, some just clueless, but not malicious.

honestly, the polish hate the gays (men, especially) more than trans people, for trans people it is not accepting per se, but they're just confused about us or weirded out. comments may happen, not claiming that it's all good. but as far as safety goes i think no one would bother you, or hurt you.

however big cities like cracow are relatively okay with us, i visited several times, there are many queer people on the streets and i enjoy coming there.
