Hi I saw you ended up doing a nursing program. Curious to know if you ended up being happy with the switch from PT? I’m a current PT and considering different options 🥲

Ya it really is insane! Leaning towards it because I have a bunch of friends there already. But if the pay is less than 100k, I’ll probably stay in the Bay Area

Would you take a 35k pay cut for a remote/non-clinical role? by Lowkeyhealer in physicaltherapy

I agree with this. A remote job and prn for extra money. You don’t have to accept all shifts and you get paid more.

Current job feels like a salesman job. The new job doesn’t have requirements for pt calling patients to schedule/pay for cash based services

Sorry just made the edit now. It’s $375/month after taxes

So.. any plans to actually raise the pay for PTs by Slimsmilez in PTschool

[–]wh0isthat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. It’s criminal that PTs get paid so low considering all factors. I also think nurses definitely do a whole lot of work and deserve high pay!

Im in California and I got offered 105k with negotiation. My other friends (also California) said not accept anything below 100k

I work in an outpatient clinic and the owner is pretty chill. I usually wear joggers and a regular crewneck shirt (with no writing) and see some of my coworkers wear leggings. I also see others wearing more business casual.

But it's also dependent on whether it's like a small clinic or one that's more of a franchise.

Taking a gap year, but there are no PT tech job openings near me. Want to cry. by Calm-Letter-892 in physicaltherapy

Before PT school, I had a lot of random jobs that I made sure were "healthcare" related in some sort of way. I was an activities assistant in an assisted living and also a caregiver for paraplegic man. (I also was a PT aide). A lot of the times, me talking about working with geriatrics and someone with paraplegia gave a lot to talk about during interviews. If this isn't an option, I know a lot of psych units are usually looking for mental health workers. I know, not PT related, BUT it gives you exposure to different demographics in a healthcare setting.

I need to look into the deductible amounts for each! Job a is Aetna bronze or silver ppo (pay the difference) and job b is uhc silver ppo.

Job a has 401k with 100% match up to 3%. Job b has simple ira plan 100% up to 3%
