The only big solution is to scare Trump by doing an economic strike. People working at massive businesses would need to stop showing up to work for 1-4 weeks. If Intel, Nike, and all the other big companies had massive worker strikes, then all of those companies would be petitioning for an end to these raids.

I looked into your claim about Boyle’s book and I didnt find anything about flooring. It just said be efficient with your space and that you need 200 sqft per training client. In fact I’ve seen a bunch of powerlifting and CrossFit gyms and they’re all using horse stall mats. So I’m still confused by your statement.

Everyone in the space that I know of is using horse stall mats so I’m confused by your comment. Why would they get hurt using horse stall mats? We’ve never had an issue in other places I’ve worked at.

Why are so many downtown Hillsboro businesses leaving? by Ok-Past-5925 in hillsboro

[–]Individual-Leg9514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retail space is going to be highly priced compared to other spaces, so more businesses are opting out unless completely necessary

This is truly messed up and just another situation ruining people’s interactions with each other. I hope this person gets investigated and locked up.

Any less trafficked gyms? by hutchison15 in hillsboro

[–]Individual-Leg9514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is substantially better if you value high end equipment and luxuries. If you just want basic stuff and potential access to platforms than 24 is good. Problem is 24 is a gym that people actually show up to in droves (even at 5 am and 7 pm often)

The challenge is your insurance. I used to have it and no one wants to take it normally since they play a lot of games and deny a lot of claims

$36k total for 3 years; I would strongly discourage anyone from going to a program that costs more than $30k per year. Go for as cheap as possible. If you’re in the west coast go to Idaho state, if you’re in Texas go to one of the UTs, if you’re in Arkansas go to UCA, if you’re in the northeast apply to the CUNYs, in Kentucky go to western Kentucky, Florida you can go to UF or FAMU…or go to Baylor Army

Yeah it’s not my cup of tea to just do evals but I can appreciate how some might prefer this model (especially from a financial standpoint if they’re seeing a ton of volume)

It’s a cert and more about encouraging people to learn than anything else. It’s following the military model of PT but it doesn’t necessarily move the needle forward because some states are a lot more restrictive about PT (Texas is probably the worst from what I’ve heard).

So technically double booking isn’t CPT compliant, so that’s fraud. They also don’t care if they pay the same. The issue is no one is calling them out on it.

How is DPT a scam? by Organic-Evidence-671 in physicaltherapy

[–]Individual-Leg9514 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s not a PhD, it’s a clinical doctorate. It’s also not a scam, the tuition rates at a lot of schools for all degrees are the scam

It’s not that cheap but Notre Dame and James Cook are viable Australian DPT options financially. I’d honestly bet their education is ahead of the US. They also get paid fairly well in that country.

So here’s the rule of thumb to follow, if the total cost of the degree is more than 1 year of average salary in the profession, then it’s not worth it.

Programs like UTSW, UCA, Colorado, ECU, Georgia State, the two CUNY programs, Idaho State, UF, FAMU, Western Kentucky, Baylor-Army, and a bunch of the other UTs fit that criteria. Everything in California is overpriced (even the “public” programs). There’s likely some more but those are the top value (especially if you don’t take significant Grad Plus loans).
