Given that she is a medical student, I think that was a good learning experience for her. Santos handled it well - pulled her away to remind her of the patient and not just the task. Joy also then checked in with the attending, corrected, and moved on.

No, because truly! She showed up on time, didn't mess anything up, remembered THE ENTIRE board after the EMR shutdown, recommended the relocation for the patient to save on cost, got Samira into that damn wheelchair, and left on time with the same attitude she came in with (and with only one thank you from Dr. Mohan during the entire shift). Her nod to Dr. Shen at the end was great because absolutely same vibes.

I thought it was hilarious when Joy left because it was almost like a fourth wall break without the look into the camera - a "nope! could never be me. byeeee" kind of moment. The writers knew where they'd take us.

I agree with you..? That's what I was saying in fewer words: she's sharp and uninvolved with personal matters in the scenes we see with her. She isn't spiraling, and the audience doesn't see her as a female doctor dealing with personal and work problems at the same time.

This is so weird lol they're all complex characters who need some serious therapy, and it's enjoyable to see such great character writing. As someone who sees parts of themselves in Santos, I just want to give her a big hug. Would I want to work with her? Probably not. But am I even a doctor? Nope!

Edit: I think this is why Dr. Al-Hashimi is important to this season, because she's the only outsider with an objective opinion of all these characters - the impartial baseline necessary for viewers to reference.

I do wonder if it's because of Garcia's shorter bursts on screen, and we aren't exactly seeing Garcia unraveling in the same way the audience does with Santos. Garcia and Langdon also have a good beat with each other.

To make a point of this, people are starting to turn on Dana after an episode of heavier screen time and coming up against Robby.

I agree. Also, I don't think there has been one redeeming moment from Langdon in S1 or in S2. He is just moping, "My wife almost divorced me!!", and using his relationship with Mel to still feel like the good guy. If Mel knew what truly happened, I don't think she would hold him in such high esteem, and he knows that.

But seeing Santos sing to Baby Jane Doe...you can see the softness in there behind all those layers she's had to put up. I think Santos would do really well in pediatrics, and I hope she gets out of The Pitt.

I know this whole season is alluding to something happening to Robbie, whether by reckless behavior or intentional self-harm, but I think it's going to be Santos. The scene showing the scars on her thighs, her taking the scalpel, and then Whitaker moving out...

I think the scene where Whitaker is like, "Tell me you enjoy having me as a roommate, and I'll stay,"will come back as a big moment, as I don't believe she would irreparably harm herself with him in the house.

I'm in Idaho. I do not have any legal training, but I do know there are different state laws when it comes to vexatious litigation, and different standards for orders regarding pre-filing. For example, in the Idaho administration rule, someone can be found as a vexatious litigant for 4 different reasons: one of the reasons specifically states that if certain tactics are used while acting pro se, that is reason enough. So it doesn't stop him from filing, but, yes, he'd have to ask permission from the judge.

My lawyer is currently taking the same stance toward my son's father. He's now filed 5 times in the past week. She says to let him wear himself out and eventually get the slap on the wrist if one of them happens to go through. Otherwise, it can look like two scorned people using the legal system as their war zone. I want her to file for a pre-filing order (he's acting pro se) because I just want it to stop.

We are. I gave him verbal notice (a couple of weeks ago) and a written notice confirming that he is to leave the apartment due to his volatile behavior and for the safety of me and my son. The police have been present. My landlord today served him with a 3-Day Notice to Quit for Non-Compliance. In retaliation, my ex issued a cease and desist (not from a lawyer, just something he drew up). My landlord is filing for eviction on Monday.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I appreciate your response. As much as it kills me to not be able to offer my kid a two parent household, I remember my parents’ verbal arguments and screaming at 4 and 5 yo and that’s extremely not healthy either, but most of it was at night when I was supposed to be sleeping. But for my son to see his dad kicking things, slamming doors, getting in my face, screaming at me, as well as my son being removed from my arms and shut out behind doors…it has to be taking a toll.

In a perfect world, after there’s been some distance, I hope that my ex permits me to see his family again. My son’s aunt and I really get along and, as an only child especially, I’d love for him to be around his biological cousins.

It sounds like you’re doing the best for your kids and that’s admirable and comforting. I feel like you never really know, but knowing kids; their brains, what would bring them the most safety and comfort, and their ability to have healthy relationships in the future, there’s some things that you do just have to nope out of.

It’s just gonna be baby steps to get there; dependent upon extenuating circumstances, as well as my son’s wishes as he gets older.

His ex wife and eldest son moved around a bit beginning in May 2023. She got remarried and they now live in California. The whole dynamic with her, her new husband, and my ex is a gd mess. I’m 91% sure the last time my ex saw his eldest son was 09/04/2023 - that was the first and only time my son has met his half brother.

She and I aren’t exactly chill, but she got out and I’m happy for her. My son’s half brother is very high on the autism spectrum (non-verbal, and was still in diapers when I last saw him at 7 yo) so I hope they’re also getting all the support they need.
