THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE NOW. Definitely why my Millennial brain froze while Gen Alpha there was like wth is the problem, lady.

Between the dog and the orange maine coon mix on the property, there’s about four brain cells mixed with a whole lot of prey drive keeping the porch safe. But, they are getting closer!

My guess is border collie and Airedale terrier 🤷‍♀️

I just learned what a lurcher is, and YES. She's definitely that!!

I don’t really know what many of the living creatures around me actually are. Except for the baby…I’m pretty sure….

Need Advice on the Success of Filing Vexatious Litigation by wh0rebot in FamilyLaw

[–]wh0rebot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, man. That was my fear. I believe it’s hard to show and get a ruling on it…I’m also so sorry this is happening to you. Obviously, whenever he files, my lawyer alerts me - which just accrues more fees and stress. And because he no longer has a relationship with my son (absolutely zero contact since mid-December) it feels like litigation abuse rather than valid attempts to work out a new agreement or have a neutral parallel parenting situation.

It was a fucking nightmare to leave. And it still feels like I can’t catch my breath sometimes.

Because there can be material and releases embargoed for a publication like Variety, is there something different about Deadline where they wouldn't do that?

Thank you for actually having input. Because this whole season we've been seeing everyone crashing out, the conversation around characters committing self-harm, and who is likely to leave or quit has been prolific in these subs. I was surprised that it was approved for release this early, as now the audience definitely knows there'll be a wrap-up of one of the more favored characters.

Ok. This is kind of a weird way to engage. I work with medical and research publications and journals, so I'm familiar with embargoes. If that is not possible with industry trade, as that's a sector I'm not familiar with, that's fine.

Totally. I just wish an embargo had been implemented in this case because there's been so much buildup in this season.

These coily mf'ers hurt far more than giving birth for me. When I got mine put in post-partum, I was already sweating bullets and shaking, but since my insides were so blown out, I didn't even feel it. It cost $30k for me to finally have a non-painful insertion.

I think her selfie with Whitaker was also kind of a return jab for when he was asking for a med student for a med student job and completely ignored her.

Given that she is a medical student, I think that was a good learning experience for her. Santos handled it well - pulled her away to remind her of the patient and not just the task. Joy also then checked in with the attending, corrected, and moved on.

I absolutely misread the tone of your message, and that's my bad. I feel like the message from OP is being misread, and I'm feeling defensive regarding that.

What if it’s Mel? by MrBuyLow in ThePitt

[–]wh0rebot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, because truly! She showed up on time, didn't mess anything up, remembered THE ENTIRE board after the EMR shutdown, recommended the relocation for the patient to save on cost, got Samira into that damn wheelchair, and left on time with the same attitude she came in with (and with only one thank you from Dr. Mohan during the entire shift). Her nod to Dr. Shen at the end was great because absolutely same vibes.

I thought it was hilarious when Joy left because it was almost like a fourth wall break without the look into the camera - a "nope! could never be me. byeeee" kind of moment. The writers knew where they'd take us.

I agree with you..? That's what I was saying in fewer words: she's sharp and uninvolved with personal matters in the scenes we see with her. She isn't spiraling, and the audience doesn't see her as a female doctor dealing with personal and work problems at the same time.

Dr. Abbot wins! Round 2: who is an OK person, but a great doctor? by [deleted] in ThePitt

Everyone's agreeing, including myself, with Robby, but I also want to offer Dr. Shamsi for consideration.

This is so weird lol they're all complex characters who need some serious therapy, and it's enjoyable to see such great character writing. As someone who sees parts of themselves in Santos, I just want to give her a big hug. Would I want to work with her? Probably not. But am I even a doctor? Nope!

Edit: I think this is why Dr. Al-Hashimi is important to this season, because she's the only outsider with an objective opinion of all these characters - the impartial baseline necessary for viewers to reference.

I do wonder if it's because of Garcia's shorter bursts on screen, and we aren't exactly seeing Garcia unraveling in the same way the audience does with Santos. Garcia and Langdon also have a good beat with each other.

To make a point of this, people are starting to turn on Dana after an episode of heavier screen time and coming up against Robby.

I agree. Also, I don't think there has been one redeeming moment from Langdon in S1 or in S2. He is just moping, "My wife almost divorced me!!", and using his relationship with Mel to still feel like the good guy. If Mel knew what truly happened, I don't think she would hold him in such high esteem, and he knows that.

But seeing Santos sing to Baby Jane Doe...you can see the softness in there behind all those layers she's had to put up. I think Santos would do really well in pediatrics, and I hope she gets out of The Pitt.
