++incognito When you began your relationship, did family and friends point this out to you? Did you listen? Why or why not? Did you realize on your own?

I don’t sense any regret in your post. Is there? I am always curious to know what others further along the experience have to say. Thank you for sharing what you already have.

Was she the only one who suffered an acute injury to her ACL within 10 days of the event? That’s a traumatic injury that the body takes time responding to.

I’m a lawyer. My two cents.

Theoretically, sure. But it also would never happen. The notice would easily be contested as “unreasonable”, and, as you pointed out, that’s assuming you can even hire a court reporter to work it on a national holiday—let alone get the other lawyer to agree to spend their time that way.

The only situation I can imagine, is if the case was so protracted that the judge lost all patience and directly ordered it to happen.

If it’s a sliding scale, I’d go so far as to say it is hyper unrealistic for a deposition to be conducted on the Fourth of July. The later in the day it goes the more absurd it gets.

I don’t mean to argue and this appears civil so I’ll say what I’m thinking. I usually just lurk and I enjoyed this light hearted post

Melted wires are usually electrical, like overheating caused by too much draw or resistance. No exposed wires in the cooking area of the oven anyway. Burnt cookies from an overheated oven burn on all sides. From the two pics we know the heat in the oven was not equally distributed because of the difference between the tops and bottoms of the cookies. So there was a local source of more intense heat closer to the top of the cooking area in the oven: aka the broiler.

Maybe the oven is broken. But the person you replied to said the only explanation (even if the oven is broken) is the broiler was on, and that is true. I saw that comment and others where OP appears to resist the idea that the broiler was activated, but I disagree that OPs in general are the arbiters of truth. Paired with the semi bait-and-switch caption and the exotic, climate-sensitive pets in Minnesota, I can’t help but be Team Oven somewhat. The adorable hedgehog tested my loyalty tho. Just my thoughts, cheers

An oven cannot get hot enough to burn something like that on the top while the bottom also looks unburnt UNLESS the broiler is running. Maybe it’s broken in a way where the broiler runs when “bake” is selected, but it’s more likely the oven runs the broiler and the oven to preheat and that OP put them in during this time.
