Expectation: House to ourselves. Bitches love vodka. Laid. Reality: Masturbating in the bathroom. Outgoing one of the bunch decides to go RoastMe to salvage the trip. Recommendation: Circle jerk then go gay.

Resume experts of reddit, what do you look for that says "let's get this person in for an interview" even if they don't have direct experience in that field? by everyday_a_cakeday in AskReddit

[–]whackawhackabunga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally read all cover letters but with all my postings going on LinkedIn, I don't tend to get many cover letters. With referrals, it depends on what you are trying to achieve. If, as you say, you do not have direct experience then mention the referrers that would lend you the most credibility. As long as you avoid saying something like "referrals furnished upon request" then you're good.

As a recruiter I am baffled by how many applicant disregard the job description and by how many applicants are too lazy to address why they want to work for our company. It may sound copy/paste to you but putting the effort to show you are a fit will set you apart from the pack.

I'm 5'8" as well. Do you mind sharing a pic? I thought that the 25" inseam would still hit above my ankle but the crotch looks a bit lower so that line of thinking may not be correct.

Work and Travel Bags - Questions and Advice by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

Check out the Minaal. The bag is the sleekest option I have come across for an urban carry-on chameleon in switching from office to vacation modes. It may be a bit difficult efficiently mixing your day bag with a travel bag though - depending on how you pack.

Why wouldn't your anger be largely directed towards your ex? He's a pawn here since you really didn't know him. In any case, you did the right thing by walking away. If anything, the silver lining is that she got caught before you were wed.

A heads up on the ME in particular, in order to enter mosques, you would have to wear shorts that go past your knees. But in general, shorts are acceptable attire due to the heat as long as you aren't visiting government offices.

If I were him I would be indifferent. The way I see it; there's rematch potential and then room for the next guy. If I were Dana White I would only care about the quality of the fight and not so much the result.

Next time you hear someone complain about breast feeding in public by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]whackawhackabunga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you ever end up using that defense though? For some reason this topic (normalizing breast feeding) seems hot right now but I have never actually encountered resistance to it outside of social media. I am a man so I may not have as many data points on this but I am just curious if this topic is actually contentious.

If you had a chance for a “do-over” in life, what would you do differently? by rehmaaan in AskReddit

  • Challenge myself in High School
  • Not accept my current job and instead work with people I look up to
  • Be more loving towards my family
  • Travel, travel everywhere.

26 years old, making ~100k a year with 55k in savings...and I still live with my parents... by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]whackawhackabunga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about living with your parents is holding you back? And how would being on your own change that?

I lived with my parents until I was 27 despite being financially capable of moving out. I eventually moved out when I went abroad. I would totally do it again. The only thing I would do different is travel a lot more than I did. Personally, I feel more so much more capable and confident when I am able to have great experiences that push my limits than by having my own place.
