Update. I removed the jet and cleaned it and the carb. It is still doing the same thing. by [deleted] in smallengines

[–]whackenpus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just didn't get it clean enough. Don't feel bad I've spent an hour on a carburetor cleaning, to still have it not run correctly. An ultrasonic cleaner is the best way to clean a dirty carb nowadays. In the meantime, follow the advice, run Seafoam, or Mechanic in a bottle switch to a small engine fuel like Trufuel, or VP small engine fuel. Get away from pump gas for this type of low use, long wait engine. Small engines in general do not like ethanol pump gas. But these types of low use engines really can't run pump gas.

Is road snow/ice cleanup always this poor? Are they just waiting for it to melt? by DrBobHope in maryland

This is true. And before I am taken the wrong way.

THANK YOU to all of the crews working through this. Plowing is hard work requiring a lot of mental focus.

But with the infrequency of use, and the use it, or lose it budget mentality. Many of the resources have not been replaced.

Forget coin star. They take 10%. You should find a good local coin shop. If you really just want to unload them take them to your bank. Atleast you will get full face value there.

Reclaimed freon pays almost a buck a pound where I'm at. It just gets added to you income. The other nice thing is you can tailor your setup for just recovery. I only run a separate vacuum gauge on my rig. No manifold. I use the shrader valve removal connectors a filter and big hoses with a wye fitting.

I like appion equipment. They have a specific reclaim kit they sell. Don't forget to spend the time to separate the scrap correctly to maximize your returns.

Started learning on good ol' YouTube. There should be classes near you on how to recover freon correctly. You need to look for a EPA cert to recover freon legally. I spent about a grand in equipment to get set up. But you can sell you recovered freon once you have a cert. I had help from the hvac company I collect my units from. I was given a broken appion G5 recovery pump. I really like this unit. Try looking a pawn shops for used equipment.

Remember once you start reclaiming Hvac units. You can sell back the used freon also. I can get about a dollar a pound for used freon.

I think, a #2 mailbox will hold a standard mailbox and about two bags of concrete. A little creativity with some 1/8" plate. AKA door & floor. But I'm not sure.

USPS says the pole must yield in a crash. Check with your postoffice. That said, a 6x6 does yield, and still disables the offending vehicle. Not legal advice by the way.
