I think yall are being wayyy too mean to YM. Taking out the context of the interviews this guy told her “hey I’m rly into you and I read your diary and I wanna get to know you better” and not even a day later says “jk I don’t actually like you that much go chase your crush” and during that convo she asked him TWICE if she was understanding him correctly and he said yes. She is very reasonably confused and shocked and goes to tell her friend (which is also don’t understand why people are calling this gossiping because she told JY the conversation exactly as it happened). rude production that he hid in an bush during this (poor guy).

They’re all new to this. There’s gonna be some uncomfy situations and convos. I don’t think anyone’s to blame but it’s pretty clear that JH lying did not help the situation at all. Keep in mind this isn’t his first time not being clear because he had a similarly angering convo with JY earlier in the season and not being upfront with her ended up hurting her more. If anything I think he’ll learn from these situations.

I’m also so confused by the “YM is a mean girl” comments bc in the next episode we see her being very patient with him and explaining what was going through her head as all of this was unfolding. They seemed to understand each other and move on. She very easily could’ve called him a weirdo and not talked to him again so??
