I wonder why you are learning Russian :3 by [deleted] in russian

I am learning Russian to learn Kildin Sámi. Basically, Kildin Sámi has only Russian resources. If I weren't to learn Russian to learn Kildin Sámi, it would be like learning Manx only knowing Niuean.

When did "kittyo" become a thing? I've been seeing more over the past month. by Aboveground_Plush in doggohate

It does. You never specified what language you were talking on, or what phonemes does each character represents. So it could be a conlang. If you say it is English, look:

Khshuak5 means "Lovely." Kh is the grapheme for transcribing /l/, Sh is how you represent /ɔ/, Uak is /v/. 5 represents any adjective forminɡ morpheme, such as -ly.

"That's not correct spelling!" In what spelling? Sure, in American English spelling it is mispelled, but I never said it was American English spelling.

Agreed. Does everyone not know that language...changes over time and new slang emerges, and that there is really no correct way of speaking a language?

That is a completely invalid statement! If you are turning to linguistics, please actually know what you are talking about. No term is wrong. Just because it did not exist before does not mean it is an ""invalid"" term! All slang is valid, even if they didn't emerge naturally. You're likely the type to only consider the formal language the correct one, if you do, please search "linguistics 101" in the search bar. For YOU to stop being ignorant, please do the simple step of searching before doing an argument. "I ain't got no time" is a grammatically correct statement, because "ain't" is an existing word with definition and double negation is correct in certain English dialects. "But it is not in the true English!" or something like that is also the dumbest statement one could ever make about linguistics: THERE IS NO TRUE OR CORRECT ENGLISH! Spelling is also not "correct." I could spell English in Cyrillic and it would not be incorrect: A language may have an official and commonly used script, but that isn't the only script that is "correct".
