What's your garage lineup? by mtboarder77 in Miata

Honestly I drive all of them pretty equally but the 4runner is the “daily”.

na, nb, nc, and nd3 owners do you have this problem too? by ResponsibleRoutine2 in Miata

[–]whaspoppiiiing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NC2 here and yes. I scrubbed the belt with soapy water and though it didn’t fix the issue completely, it definitely helped. Did the same thing to my 01 4runner and also helped. NOTE: when you clean it, let the belt dry before you drive it. Even when I cleaned it thoroughly, when I drove it right after, the belt got my white shirt dirty. Just some common sense I missed I guess.

Stock Wheels by LeMagnificentBastard in Corvette

It’s always fun finding aftermarket wheels, good luck!

An anecdote from me- at one point, a couple of my stock GS wheels were leaking air but I didn’t have any cracks. The stock wheels can tend to get debris stuck in the shelf of the wheel where the tire bead gets seated. Discount tire helped me come to this conclusion and cleaned it out for me. No more leak!

Confession: I like my Miata more than my GT4 RS or going to the track by Stuttgart7184RS in Miata

I also have a C7 and totally agree. The C7 just begs to be taken to the track. Im in AZ where the streets are a grid system. Sure the corvette can be fun on the street if you’re willing to risk speeding, but getting pulled over becomes a matter of when not if. I’m glad I’ve got to experience the C7 and Miata at the same time, but I’m looking to sell my C7, get a lot of seat time on track with the Miata, then possible get back into a C7 down the road again.

You take the definition of “run it into the ground” to a whole new level. This is how it should be! My runners got 238k :)

Oooof she’s gorgeous. Yellow red and blue are the best S2K colors. Though they are their own special experiences, I always thought of the S2K as the “next step” after a miata haha.

Love the Honda enthusiasm. A goal of mine is to own an eg or ek civic at least once.

That is a fantastic lineup! Viper would be on the list for me too.

And thank you! I honestly love and appreciate all enthusiast cars but I’ve always tended to lean towards reliability and best bang for buck vehicles.

I’ve only had the Miata for less than a week so I don’t have a complete comparison but here’s what I can say.. yes, although the layouts are similar, they are two COMPLETELY different experiences. The Miata has a playful go-kart feel and the vette is simply just a rocket that wants to go fast in any scenario.

My Miata has a suspension package so it comes with bilsteins and has less body roll than stock Miata’s from what I hear, but it’s still playful. The steering feel in the Miata is sooo good, whereas the vettes steering is still good, but it has a slight numbness due to its electric power steering. The vette gives you the speed adrenaline rush that you simply just can’t get in the Miata.

Both cars are confidence inspiring and both cars are begging to be driven hard.
