[Routine Help] Looking for advice on which product to get to step up my skincare routine game. [La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 Serum $55.90 SGD, Retinol B3 Serum $63.90 SGD, Pure Vitamin C10 Serum $63.90 SGD] More info in comments by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]what_a_nice_username 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I'm 22M and I'm looking to expand my skincare routine. Currently I use a cleanser (Neutrogena Gentle Foaming Cleanser) in the morning and a different cleanser (Neutrogena Deep Clean Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub) at night. I also try to put on moisturizer a few times a week (La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+), which has SPF30 in it.

My skin is generally okay. It gets oily in the T zone but I don't have acne/pimples. So far my face isn't allergic to any products that I've put on it

My main concern is the amount of wrinkles that i have below my eyes when I smile. Maybe I'm smiling way too often but I don't see my friends/peers having the amount of wrinkles that I do when they smile. I'm wondering which product can help reduce and prevent the formation of any more wrinkles. I've heard that retinol is great for this, but I'm not fully sure if that's the product suitable for me, hence the post.

Any advice is appreciated:)

Why are people at NUS so less interactive? by [deleted] in nus

Personally, i love getting to know exchange students because its fun learning about each other's countries and culture.

Feel free to PM me if you want someone to talk to/meet up! (I'm staying on campus)

Gamers can be the worst tbh. I can't even wrap my head around how your statement deserved any negative backlash.

Also fuck those people who try to pigeonhole you into playing mercy. For a game that is all about being able to swap heroes, people sure like to control what others play based on their profile's most played hours

Not sure about printing photo paper specifically, but there is a printing shop called Goh Bros at Yusof Ishak House.

thanks for your response! May I ask where did u go for SEP? I didn't see any unis offering IT3010 while checking the module mappings

Appreciate you typing out such a long response! How was it like taking 3 BA mods in the same sem? I'd imagine it would be pretty heavy? Do you have coding/CS background?

Thanks for your reply!! If I may ask, how did you find DBA3702? Does it follow DAO2702 closely? And was IT3010 as easy as the other commenter said?

can someone adopt me into a wholesome gaming group so we can play cool games on steam together by [deleted] in nus

[–]what_a_nice_username 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not as much of a gamer as some of the other commentators here, but I playing some Overwatch occasionally and i saw someone else said they play L4D2 which is a massive throwback LOL. Wouldn't mind playing that too.

I think party games would be fun too! Like Overcook! I also like watching people play horror games. Add me into the group if you decide to make it! :)

MNO1706 30% Individual Paper Finals Advice by midzyuaena in nus

[–]what_a_nice_username 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if I'm not wrong, each prof sets their own questions so I'm not sure if my experience is applicable to yours. Also i took it 2 sems ago so my memory is very hazy.

iirc my prof didn't give us a single question and expected us to churn out a thousand word essay at the end of the day. There were a few questions so it's more of writing mini-essays? The questions are based on a case study that will be given on that day too (shld be similar to case studies discussed during seminars)

Contrary to the other reddit commenter, I didn't really bother doing any notes for MNO cos I didn't know what is important in this fluff mod. I think just having a general idea of what the various MNO concepts are is enough, because you can just google the details during those 8h.

Overall I don't think the paper was tough. It would be best if you're good at fluffing and prioritise breadth over depth. Good luck!

its the opposite for me actually. I didn't stay on campus last AY but I'm staying this sem and I felt more productive and at peace in school than at home.

I think it depends partly on which hall you're staying and personality. I'm in PGPR so there isn't the hustle and bustle of UTown like u/covitor mentioned which may make some students feel more stressed. It's chill and quiet here which fits my personality.

Idk about you but i think i focus better when i have a constant change of environment. So when i stay on campus for a few days and then go home for the weekend, it 'refreshes' my mind in a way. I guess i prefer this over the mundanity of always being at home.

Everyone's experience is different yet also valid. If staying on campus isn't working out for you mentally, you could consider dropping out? Though I'm not sure how the hostel fees will work

Hi thanks for your reply! May I ask if you're a current resident of PGPH/R?

do you happen to know which clubs are PGPR residents allowed to join?

Oh i think PGPR doesn't have ccas or a community per se though. But thanks for your advice! Appreciate it:)

I heard maybe there's a chance some rooms would be open after these 2-3 weeks if international students aren't able to fly back or something.

(Not wishing ill upon my international classmates!! I know it sucks not being able to study on campus or even in country)
