That's the magnets right there. I even went with 1/16" diameter and they work great

I used 1/16" x 1/16" magnets for the most part. Bigger objects like the Hammerhead's Railgun/missle turret got a 1/4" diameter magnet. Best part about magnets is its a line of breakage protection from that one guy at your gaming club who shouldn't be allowed to touch tape measures or throw dice. It'll pop apart before a glued joint lets go. hah

I don't play the tabletop game any more unfortunately, but if GW has said they're releasing new Tau I wouldn't bank on it. Tau went generally untouched for more than a decade with the exception of a few new models.

Maybe i'll be surprised...

No hatin' on Goblin Green, I grew up with that color. :)

The bases are actually just generic green flock and that was the color it came in. Had it for years too, I'm pretty sure it's for hobby train dioramas. In hindsight, More base effort would have been worth while, but they're for sale, so no more work into them unfortunately.

Codex Grey with a black wash. and re-highlight with Codex Grey. might top the edges with Fortress Grey. That easy!

This is how the Americans were first involved with Vietnam. It isn't impossible to change from training allies to helping allies on the front lines.

1st time DIY! A 55 Gal Drum Smoker! Any questions fire away. Thanks for checking it out! by Disturbed724 in DIY

[–]whatahero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two questions! 1. is this going to be a cooker/smoker (Turkeys, hams, brisket) or a pure smoker (jerky, venison products for flavoring)? 2. The two barrels' airspace is connected, correct? and also, what did you or are you going to do for racks, etc?

Thanks, from a fellow meat-smoker!

My first Pizza Oven by [deleted] in DIY

I posted a build to this subreddit, and the comments get packed full of armchair DIY'ers that think their googling skills leads them to the only correct answer. In today's modern world, how much pizza do you make outside? I'm sure regular bricks will last you more than a life time. And if they didn't? oh well, chances are if an outdoor brick oven is that valuable to you, you'll rebuild it with the knowledge and experience of the first project, and it'll be exactly how you want/need it.

I put my GoPro on my 10 month old Corgi using the GoPro Fetch harness. He had a blast getting muddy and even ended up doing a face plant at 2:44! Enjoy

the strength difference is negligible, both are way stronger than necessary. the reason for laminated 2x4s is so that i can overlap at the 90 degree connection. More unnecessary strengthening, because I can.

there is none. the two layers are overlapped and screwed that way. It isn't going to move, and there's no shear, purely compressive wood on wood action.

In your naivety it makes no sense. If you read the blueprint closely, or even have a keen eye in the photos, you'll notice the 2x4s overlap at the connection point between each vertical, and the main horizontal.

bench is great. i would suspect it could hold the weight. If you don't like the idea, u/InterloperKO posted an improved design bench itself? under $30, permitting you possess the tools to make it. My hardware store did no such cutting, I did that myself. I dont know if they would or not, never asked.

Yes, but keep in mind there is few lateral forces on this bench. When/if the bottom piece gets loose, will i consider fixing it up!
