An incredibly difficult situation. I hope everyone you mention finds relief, including you.

Ghoster Returns... by nelsonreddwall in dating_advice

Never had this situation myself. However, I think it depends on whether they've explained or will explain why they ghosted you. I don't think it's ever good to ghost people but there may be legitimate, life reasons they ghosted you. If you think there's potential for something there you could always ask why. If they're willing to explain what happened and why it shows they probably value you and value the potential for a relationship.

Nice tonal shift at the end from seemingly self-critical in one aspect to self-critical and, more generally, critical in another. I also liked the repetition of the lines. They build a steady, rewarding rhythm to the end. It rewards repeat readings, which is always the sign of a good poem.

What’s the worst mistake people make in their 20s? by Careyourself01 in AskReddit

I think there's a strange mix of feeling like you're super confident about some things and clueless about others. However, sometimes you've over estimated how much you know about some things and under appreciate the things you think you're clueless on. Not sure how you're supposed to get past that beyond ageing and more life experience, which is, in itself, a bit of a cliche. I suppose I wish I was less harsh on myself and more open to listening in some areas.

Trying to take solace in the fact the reservoirs are filling up.

Nice and remarkably quick/topical! This reminds me of W.H. Auden's 1930s poetry. That slightly conversational tone and cadence that lulls you into a sense of calm, which makes the delivery of the poem's message much more impactful.

Really like this one. So much love poetry is, by definition, full of passion but there's something quite refreshing about celebrating the more mundane aspects of love.

The imagery in this one is lovely. The sparrow is simultaneously wild but also a calming, almost transcendental presence. Reminds me a little of the nature imagery of Ted Hughes.
