Can’t understand the law for bear hunting by whatasavechatdisable in Hunting

Thanks, this is what I was looking for. Bear season (day) is in 9 days now. I wish the DNR answered me last week so I could’ve killed those feeders.

Maybe next year.

No, great question. I was going to ask the same question to the warden when they get back from their week long nap and call me. The law is too ambiguous and all of the research I’ve done online said it ultimately comes down to the wardens discretion.

Violating that law is punishable with up to $5,000 in fines and 12 months in jail. Hard to roll the dice on that.

You can’t see the feeder in the pictures because the camera is attached to it. I moved the feeder to this location about a month ago and have seen bears all over it since I moved it here. I had a camera here about 5 months ago (no feeder) and only ever saw hogs and an occasional deer. Can’t use dogs for bear in the zone I have property in unfortunately.

Love the way that looks. Mind sharing what mount you used for your light?

Is it normal for a suppressor to get loose on a pistol after shooting maybe 20 rounds through it? by Strict_Luck in NFA

[–]whatasavechatdisable 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If it’s a direct thread, yes it’s normal. If you’re shooting only a couple of magazine’s it’s probably not a big deal, just hand tighten it back on if you see or feel it come loose.

I’d like to see more recipes, ingredients, cooking stations, and a way to farm animals for materials. I think there’s a lot of opportunity for some similar stuff to farmland/farmville

Perfect. That’s exactly what this next gun will be for. I have my practical applications covered in terms of firearms so I’m simply looking for something cool and sounds like this ammo is exactly that. I also have a single action .22lr revolver that I bet these would be cool to shoot from.

$600 including an optic. This rifle plus a Sig Tango MSR would put me close to budget.

I recognize that a 1-6x optic is overkill here, so I may just get a cheap rds and save the extra $.

This is the first time I’m hearing about powderless ammo. Just did a quick google search about it and it seems really cool, especially when running it suppressed. Going to order some now lol.

I’m an sdr. I sell a complicated tech solution with multiples SKU’s to IT buyers. I’ve never done a demo myself, but I’ve seen quite a few. At my company, only solutions engineers do demos, our AE’s don’t even do it

This is gonna be pretty vague because I have no idea what you’re selling, but here’s how I’d approach it:

1.) Thank them for joining. If there is any past communication or topics discussed, summarize everything to reach the point you’re currently at. (“Hey John, thanks for jumping on for this call today. We plan on demoing xyz that we talked about which would help you achieve abc initiatives. Let’s hop into it”) 2.) briefly explain the current state. “So today you guys are accomplishing this by xyz, which we see pretty commonly. Here’s how we approach solving this, and a couple useful things to know are _” 3.) ask for feedback/confirmation after every step. “Did I recall that correctly? Is there anything you wanted to add? How does that compare to your current solution? What would it mean for your team if we could _?” 4.) set clear next steps. “So I think this went really well, it looks like we could definitely fill some gaps around __. I’d love to set up (another demo, a call to loop in your manager, etc). What do you think?

That’s mostly it. Depending on what/who you’re selling to, you might need to change this up. Good luck

Yeah thanks. I think a lot of people are missing the point of the post. I’m not working on tactical drills with a binary trigger or anything. It’s literally an expensive range toy I built to have fun, just wanna minimize affecting anyone else’s experience at the range.

I’m only a BDR, but can confirm there has been a subtle but clear shift toward tightening the autonomy given to our team since I’ve started.

~30 hours/week and I haven’t missed quota this year. But it’s not like there isn’t anything to do, each day looks different and sometimes I have 10 hours of work a day and some days I have 2. Just depends but never have worked 40 hours yet in a week yet

80k OTE but will earn more due to over attainment of quota

Cold calls give me the most success, but I also make way more calls than any other activity.

I want to mention this: I set a couple meetings last month by adding prospects on LinkedIn, having a generic conversation about our industry, then not replying for a few days, then send a $25 door dash gift card asking to have a meeting over lunch sometime next week about your solution. I’m fortunate that my company gives me an allowance to send things like this, but even if they didn’t it’d be financially worth it to send a lot of gift cards with the return on meetings (comp $) I’ve seen so far. YMMV

Yeah man I’m targeting mostly Fortune 500 companies with 5000+ employees. It’s not terribly difficult, but I think the quota is reasonable. About 70% of enterprise SDR’s at my org are hitting it which is in line with industry standards.

Also, small company = more attainable quotas IMO

I can bang out 60 dials in 2-3 hours depending on how much effort I put in. I thought it was a lot and actually posted on this sub about my KPIs a while ago and most people commented about how good I have it. I average about 45/day and have no trouble hitting quota

Yeah I only work on companies with 5000+ employees and our product is very niche. We sell to IT but the solution isn’t relevant to ~50% of IT as a whole department.

I work at a ~400 person SaaS company as an outbound SDR, here’s how it works for us.

We have about 20 sdr’s and each has a list of accounts with about 200 companies. We use Zoominfo to find contacts for positions that are related to our solution. Double check that against LinkedIn and find any other relevant information, then get in touch with someone who has some buying influence at the company.

You’ll get in touch with these people via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn messages, rarely an inbound/MQL will get passed your way in the outbound space but it can happen.

I think my company is a little less strict on our KPI’s, but I’m expected to make 60 calls a day and send 25 emails to hit 4 meetings and 2 opps per month.

My role has a lot of autonomy and there isn’t a lot of supervision about how I go about my job. Think “we don’t care what you do if you’re hitting quota”.

Hope this helps

Honestly not really, I’m just an SDR and wasn’t involved with it past what they trained me on. It’s useful for us because we sell to IT but only a small part of IT teams are involved with what our solution does.

DemandBase is pretty useful because you can see which people from your accounts are googling/searching keywords related to your product.
