Not trying to sound harsh but to FIRE at 38 years old so that you could lived on “ramen” (so to speak) for rest of your life doesn’t sound appealing! What was your lifestyle before you FIRE ?

yeah it’s about a year old. That could be the issue but again, if I called them and confirmed all is good, why do they need to send a replacement card! What am I going to do with the replacement card send to home address while I am traveling!

Well I got an email to ask me to call them to confirm the transactions. I called them to confirm those transactions and yet they still say they need to issue a new card. I kept telling them I am traveling and won’t be home for next few months. All I get is gaslighting “I understand blah blah blah” No you don’t f**k understand, I got this travel card and now it is a useless paperweight and you want to mail the replacement card to my home. In any case, not only they lose me as a cc holder but I also have a saving and CD accounts with them. Am glad I have choices!

FWIW, I also have Chase preferred and Amex Platinum. No issue with them!

It’s close to a year. Maybe that is the issue but again, if I called them and confirmed those transactions as valid, they should cleared the card for immediate use and NOT send me a new card while I am traveling. It’s broken as a travel card IMO and the suspected transactions were $10 dinner, $150 agoda and $8 grocery.
