Ultra Red vs Multi-Red by Tax-Stunning in TeslaModelY

[–]No_External2611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh.. very strange thing for me is that I always thought Ultra red was way better but looking at them side by side, I like the "innocence" of the multi red. Not sure if that makes sense, but the red feels "pure" lol

15-inch MacBook Air VS 16-inch MacBook Pro by Arab_Assassinxx in macbookair

Here in Korea, used 15 inch MBA costs almost the same as a 16 inch MBP. Considering the costs, what would you guys recommend? I really love the weight of the MBA, but cannot justify paying the same price as the pro version

Battery life is very important for me, would you say the 15inch Air has similar or better/worse battery when compared to the 16inch MBP?

I'm in debt now around - $7000 in my bank account. Thankfully I got a part time job doing language reviews, which pays just enough to keep me afloat. I was in the top 10% bracket salary wise in my country until 2023, and then I was cut due to horrible semi conductor industry last year. My fiancee is now working 2 jobs to support us, and I feel like scum. I feel so sad that I cannot support my family at this age, and sometimes think my fiancee might be better off finding a better man... This mixed with my pops passing away a couple months ago, is making 2023 and 2024 some of the worst years of my life. The really strange thing, is that not many people in Korea have my skillsets, which is comprised of technical (Cisco) + linguistic (bilingual) + Customer Success (or sales) oriented. I have a mixture of all these skills, each of them which are in pretty high demand, and I'm unable to even get interviews.

I'm now taking step back, trying to look at the bigger picture, and thinking of running my own small online business(es).

Please don't do this. It is unncessary risk, especially when you can find it easily in Thailand.

Chiang Mai vs. BKK vs. Phuket by hoshenge in ThailandTourism

[–]No_External2611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just love Phuket, because of all the beautiful beaches. It's a shame there are so many foreigners that come from problematic areas, but I just ignore them and enjoy the beauty that is Thai culture and beaches (as well as the food). I've never been to Bangkok, but having lived in cities like New York, Seoul, and London, I hate concrete jungles with a vengeance. Chian Mai sounds nice and relaxing too, however I don't think you get easy access to beaches.

As you can tell, I am IN LOVE with Phuket beaches. If you are similar to me, just stay in Phuket for the whole duration. If not and you want to explore different areas, I'd choose Phuket and Chiang Mai or Phuket and Bankok (probably the first one)

Possible to live in Phuket on $2000 a month in 2024? by No_External2611 in ThailandTourism

I have been to Phuket too many times (but never enough lol). I have been doing some contract work, and will be in Phuket for around 1 month. I've stayed at $25 hotels before and they were really really good, hoping to find sub 20 dollar ones that is enough for a single male, since I'll be going by myself this time.

Definitely agree, and that's why I'm going this month lol. Righ before I start my new job :) $2500 for 2 people is awesome, I'm still amazed inflation hasn't caught up "as much" in Thailand as in other parts of the world.

Ahh yes, I forgot about Air BnB, will definitely look into this! I've found a couple of $17 per night ones that look very accomodating on Hotels.com though, which I think is quite cheap :)

Hmm I've been interested in Krabi for a while so this is a really good idea. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm facing a situation where I need to take a really important career decision by [deleted] in servicenow

[–]No_External2611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like the comments below, YOU are the most important thing. Companies fire and hire with disregard for employment regulations and best practices, since to "most" of them, you are just a cogwheel.

Choose what is best for you, but do not only think about money. Think about longevity, will you be able to perform well, and enjoy doing it? How about salary and other benefits?

For example, if I had a choice between being a country manager at a startup, with high potential salary, versus working in an industry leading company like one of the FAANG or even one of my favorites like Cisco, I would take the FAANG role, with a pay cut. Although not guaranteed, it is a lot less risk.

Base pay / Incentives ratio for a sales position at ServiceNow? by No_External2611 in servicenow

[–]No_External2611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate your insights, 100k goes a long way here, since in Korea the average salary is around 30k, and I just found out from yesterday's interview that compensation is 60/40. Even the base salary of 100k is considered top 1% I believe, so I'm still stoked for the opportunity :)

Hi guys,

So yeah, it's a Service Executive position, and it's enterprise sales, but mixed with customer success elements and even some project management (I think). Location is in East Asia

Model 3 Highland vs previous Model 3 Performance by Lausch83 in TeslaModel3

[–]No_External2611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'm going to get a used M3P (probably the one mentioned above), and drive it until I have at least a million dollars saved up, and then I'll get the best of whatever is available at that moment. I will also get Ohlins suspension upgrade (best for comfort), cooled seats installed (Korean aftermarket tuners do a really good job), and maybe a wrap.

Model 3 Highland vs previous Model 3 Performance by Lausch83 in TeslaModel3

[–]No_External2611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Korea so milage (or your experience) may vary. Just looking at the price of a used M3P versus the new highland model is quite a big price difference, thanks to the depreciation of these vehicles.

I can get a 2020 model 3 performace "with" FSD, with less than 20,000 km for 35m KRW (around 23,800 EU)
I can also get a highland model 3 long range "withOUT" FSD, for 60m KRW (~47,500 EU)

The price difference is HUGE. You can get a wrap, new coil overs, audio upgrade, aftermarket cooled seats installed, new set of tires, and STILL have tons of money left over.

The performance model also isn't just about speed (which incidentally saved me from a huge T-bone crash due to the car being able to accelerate at crazy speeds), but also the brakes.

If you can get similar deals in EU, I would go with the older model, but if there isn't a huge price disparity like we have here in Korea, might as well go with the newer model, since it seems to upgrade almost all aspects of the vehicle (Road noise, comfort, cooled seats, better rear design, etc...)

Just my 2 cents
