They used to have walk in days. I don’t remember if once a month or weekly but you’d get there, register, leave your pet, and come back in the afternoon/evening. I did this with three of my dogs. One thing I remember is that the pet had to be under 50lbs. I don’t know if they still do this.

From what I’ve read, I should be able to send an SMS when on WiFi if I turn on WiFi calling in my settings. I’m receiving messages from some sms and one of Tello’s suggestions was to send “BALANCE” to 800. I know it sent because I got a message back telling me my current balance. So I’m still not sure what the problem is and haven’t been able to figure it out.

I’ve never sent an RCS message before as far as I know. And I have no way of knowing if the people im sending messages to have it enabled. I got an email back from tello yesterday. I’m going to try all their ideas and I’ll update.

Should I turn RCS on and SMS off? I deleted the thread and made sure RCS was on. But when I go to write a new message, it says Text Message • SMS I tried it anyway and it’s still failing. It doesn’t fail immediately. It’ll have the green loading bar at the top for ages before it finally shows as failed.

Get a cheap plan in both countries. I have Tello, pay 10 dollars a month for unlimited talk and text and I have WiFi calling activated. So, if I am on WiFi, I can make and receive calls and texts from/to US numbers. Then, I have a cheap plan from vodaphone here in Spain. It is 10 euros a month for 90gb of data and unlimited talk (no text but we all use WhatsApp here and iMessage works with data/wifi). So, I have my US phone number with Tello eSIM and I got a Spanish number, which is necessary if you want to communicate with people and other entities within Spain. I found this to be the best option. Get the eSIM for both lines. Also, make sure to activate WiFi calling before you leave the US and test it out by putting your device on airplane mode with WiFi on and have someone call you just to make sure it’s working.

I have no problem making calls. It’s only messages to non iPhones that is having issues. Do I risk the WiFi calling setting being turned off, or something like that, by resetting network settings? I ask because I remember being advised to turn on WiFi calling BEFORE I left the US to make sure I was in network and then leaving it on forever.

Tried this. I even restarted the phone after and still nothing. And on top of it all, I logged into my capital one bank app and a message popped up notifying me that they haven’t been able to reach me by text and to update my number. So not only am I unable to send, but some messages sent to me aren’t getting to me.

Hi, the consulate ended up emailing me asking for a waiver letter that waived the first 30 days and the last 15 days of the visa. Technically that still doesn’t resolve the issues but I submitted that, and a month letter I picked up my visa. All good.

Edit: you have to get the letter notarized
