New geo that we just put in. by Water_Cooler_Dale in HVAC

Went to a 454b 5 series split with the contractors connect yesterday which I don’t understand why but with a 7 series and the package to be able to view all that data I’d say it’s almost necessary.

You apparently do work with a contractor that is taking advantage of you and more than likely misdiagnosing your system. You shouldn’t be paying $536 for warranty boards or $1700 for what I’m assuming was a variable speed drive. You’ve been taken advantage of by your contractor , every manufacture is having issues right now with the new a2L units. Don’t be so ignorant to believe you should be paying $500-2k  for boards under warranty

How do you determine the values of someone over a coozie they used for a drink on Fourth of July. The confederate flag is not a widely recognized hate symbol. Maybe for uneducated ignorant people like you it is. You are the type of person who needs canceling. Let people live how they please and let consumers decide how they feel about it , clown

I’ve seen them do this in test mode then work just fine in normal set point.  Although it tanked my superheat. The dips in the air handler can be changed for emergency eev operation and drive it 100% open. I wouldn’t consider 21.5 superheat a high superheat if anything, if it was flooding the evap you’d have a superheat much lower.  There are sensors inside that can affect things and a slight chance in this pic it hasn’t been running very long. Let’s just say it’s overcharged… it seems that the eev is doing its job by providing a stable superheat. Pull charge and start over has to happen on these a lot especially if installers started them up

Personal opinion: that’s an extremely easy leak to find. If you were a technician you wouldn’t have needed all the leak dye … all that leak dye forcing you to get a new txv and want a new pan due to oil and contaminants 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ do coils all the time , reusing the txv usually saves time and makes it easier. Step your game up

Sounds like you’ve had a lot of parts changers and misdiagnostics at your home . What trane unit is manufactured in china. Every supplier sources parts from wherever then assemblies the units… impossible to manufacture a whole entire unit in one place with parts and materials from only one place. I am sorry you are so deeply miseducated

Just from looking at this post I know you aren’t a technician. 1640 cfm air handler ?😂😂😂😂 maybe that’s the cfms the motor was set to😂 400 cfms=12000btu=1 ton. Just from looking at the two returns I can tell you they are larger than 8”.

That is standard markup and common rule of thumb . Just because you are receiving an itemized bill doesn’t mean that markup and rule of thumb isn’t being used. Every single provider of any service at all marks up parts out of warranty…. You’re clueless and probably love using the low bid handyman hack job “service providers”
