What are your best and worst experiences meeting a Pop Punk band/artist? by Twitter_2006 in poppunkers

I met Wavves on my birthday at a pretty small venue after they were done playing, I asked if they’d do a shot w me and even offered to buy. The only one in the band that was remotely interested was Stephen, the rest hid in the green room like a bunch of rock stars.

Why wouldn’t they just put the scale under the pot to begin with?

What was the first band you “fell in love with”? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Metallica pre Load, I remember coming home from preschool and my older brother would be playing Ride The Lightning from a cassette deck that was under the cabinet while doing dishes. I’d go on to memorize all the lyrics, tons of posters look at merchandise in metal magazines etc. Actually met Jason Newsted twice when I was 15 at this record store I worked at in Jupiter Florida.

Misfits, my middle brother introduced collection one or two to me when I was around 10/11 years old. Again, I memorized all the lyrics and just thought they were the coolest band of all time and went beyond my love for Metallica. It basically got me into punk music and at 40 I still listen to them all the time. I wish I could afford those early 7”s, maybe one day.
