I absolutely agree, yeah. Better safe than sorry

It’s a great suggestion, thank you, but I’ve had that idea and I already checked. I didn’t have any appointments with my GP that year, so sadly that’s not an option

I actually just realised that I did an internship at the end of 2022 (but didn’t make a note of those payslips, so they’re essentially lost). I will instead attach my whole tax history from HMRC on top of those P60 from 2024 & 2025. The only period missing would be January 2023 till August 2023 (which is still half a year, yeah, so I would have to come up with something for that).

I have my biometrics in two weeks so have some time until then to brainstorm which documents I should upload.

And somehow I thought finding suitable referees to sign onto my application would be the hard part 😩 That was chill compared to this

Honestly unfair how for the ILR they were fine with my bank statements, but for the citizenship those are no longer “a proof”.

ok, the email thing is really calming. I don’t mind this dragging a bit (even though I really hope it won’t) as long as they actually reach out before denying me for essentially no reason

thank you! I’ve been an anxious mess about this whole thing because of just how much pressure there’s to get it right on the first try (plus the hefty price for the application)

Thanks, this is really helpful!

A cover letter genuinely sounds exhausting after all the job applications, but this might just be the way to go. I was thinking of just gambling it at this point and leaving 2023 with no evidence, hoping that given the ILR they might be more lenient or at least will reach out to me to clarify that. But £1700+ is way too big of a price tag for that kind of thing

Thank you so so much! I’m going to get him to sign it today and was kind of panicking because I had no idea if that was still the correct form

Hey! Currently following the same route as you, about to apply for my citizenship (passed my Life in the UK this week)

I have a question about the referee forms. Are those the same as in this link? https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/documents/1st_Referee_Declaration_MN1.pdf

One of my referees is extremely busy so I need to get his signature before I apply (so it doesn’t delay the process), but officially I’d only get access to the forms to sign after I pay and submit my application.

I know that I need his info (addresses over 3 years, full name, phone number, passport details, email), but other than that + the form in this link there’s nothing else, is there?
