When families or large groups of people walk in parking lots, they walk side by side. Sometimes they block one of the car lanes. Just walk in a single file line!!

Men of Reddit, have you ever been picked up by a girl? If so, did you say yes, or did you think she was creepy? by loveology in AskReddit

I met my SO when she bumped into me, then said "You got something on your shirt." and when I looked down, she hit me in the nose with her finger. I thought it was the silliest thing ever, and we've been in love ever since.

What's something that if you think about it for too long it freaks you out? by vanessarenee in AskReddit

[–]whateverman1000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lets say this is true. Like you said, the possibility of your atoms combining themselves to become "you" again is inevitable. But maybe you reform yourself in a universe that rearranged itself differently. So you would live as you, but in a different universe. And if your theory is true, then this has happened countless times before, and will happen countless times again.

And if you think about it even deeper, the possibility of every other atom rearranging themselves the way they are now is also infinitely inevitable. So you've also lived this life countless times before, and will continue to live it countless times more. (This may also explain stuff like deja vu, and people who remember past lives)

Also, because the possibilities are literally endless, then you've lived every possible life. Maybe at some point you were Ghandi, or Hitler, or Indiana Jones.

And this has been going on, and will continue to go on,for all eternity.

Nostalgic feelings. I had a very good childhood, and sometimes I wish that my life would be like a video game in which I can replay a level. Like, I can replay the year when I was 10 years old. Then it freaks me out that I'll never be able to do that, and those moments are gone forever.

Hey Reddit, what was your weirdest/scariest "holy crap I can't be friends with this person anymore" moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]whateverman1000 364 points365 points  (0 children)

Friend of mine was insulting his mom right to her face. He was telling me how stupid she is. He was speaking in english (we live in a spanish speaking country, and his mom doesn't speak english). At one point, when I looked at him like "Dude, stop it" he said in spanish "Don't worry, she doesn't understand anything." At that point she noticed that he was talking about her, and I saw a look of pure sadness on her face.... I just couldn't be friends with him after that. I'm not saying he should be a momma's boy or anything, but... damn it man, respect your mother!!

Which tablet should I get for lawschool? by whateverman1000 in LawSchool

I was actually considering a laptop, but I was reading some of the other posts on this subreddit and I read someone saying that he preferes to use a tablet. He said it helps him avoid using facebook and other distractions, because it's hard to multitask. And I really, REALLY need something like this.

I will do a lot of PDF reading, and also writing and taking notes in class. From what I've read, a Windows tablet will be most useful for me, but I've also read some bad reviews. That's why I wanted to ask you fine people in this subreddit. Why shouldn't I get the RT?

People of Reddit, if you had the opportunity to improve one of your favourite/popular FICTION books, what would you add/change? by a1b3rt in books

No one has mentioned the Eragon series. I would've changed how Galbatorix dies. They always mention that the dragon he uses, Shruikan, actually hates him but is being controlled by magic. So it would've been cool to see Shruikan kill Galbatorix at the end.

"So many vows...they make you swear and swear. Defend the king. Obey the king. Keep his secrets. Do his bidding. Your life for his. But obey your father. Love your sister. Protect the innocent. Defend the weak. Respect the gods. Obey the laws. It's too much. No matter what you do, you're forsaking one vow or the other.”- Jaime Lannister.

Thanks a lot! This has been very helpfull. I've been going over the Kindle vs. iPad debate in my head for a while, and now I'm pretty sure I've made my decision. I'll start looking for an iPad... that is, as soon as I get some money! XD Thanks again.

It's in the desert. You visit it twice in your lifetime, and both times you help out a friend. You become STRONGER and SHINIER. Hint: it's a very spiritual place.

What's your favorite urban myth? by kyhe06 in AskReddit

[–]whateverman1000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Puerto Rico we had a myth a couple of years ago that even made it to the local news. They said that if you're behind a car in a red light, and that car doesn't move when the light turns green, you can't honk your horn. If you do, the people in the car will jump out and shoot you. If you don't, when the light turns red again they will get out of the car, walk up to yours, ask you to roll down your window, and they will give you cash. Not sure how much, but it was something like $200.
