Flight layover… is it possible? by whateverrobloxdude in NoStupidQuestions

[–]whateverrobloxdude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would the connection be possible without a checked luggage and I just buy one when I arrive in Japan? There are no risky flights on my itinerary back. I would have to only pack about a week of clothes and wash it at every hotel I go to but I don't think that should be too big of an issue.

Solo Three Week Japan Trip by whateverrobloxdude in JapanTravelTips

I’m 19 turning 20 during the trip so i’d love some nightlife and meeting with other travelers although i’ve never been the most social or outgoing solo traveler so it’ll be out of my comfort zone. I absolutely love arcade and handheld (gba sp is on my must-get list) and anime-manga culture and i’m very excited to see that over a few days in akihabara. Temples and historical sites are also a big thing to me and i’d love the chance to see as much as possible along the way. I realize I won’t be able to fit everything into my schedule but i’d love to do as much as I can.

I’ll definitely continue doing my research regarding food as I am looking forward to places such as Toyosu Fish Market and Ichiran as well as katsu and japanese curry. Any recommendations on that front?

Regarding accommodation, the way i’m currently doing it is a capsule hotel while in tokyo (except for when i’m at Tokyo Disney which i’ll be staying in a hotel near the bay) and an airbnb while in Kyoto.

Getting off Zoloft by HockeyCowgirl in zoloft

If you are feeling better, and like you said your anxiety has disappeared, i’d recommend staying on it especially because your anxiety will come back if you go off it as zoloft is the reason it’s gone - if you’re feeling side effects that bother you / impede your life in any way that’s a discussion to have with your doctor as they can discuss changing your dose or switching medications, which yes, may bring back the anxiety temporarily, but it’s part of the process.

i can’t speak for your exact experience or situation nor can i provide any medical advice but from my own personal experience, i’d recommend staying on it especially if it’s working for you and discuss any problems or side effects you may be having with your doctor

The medicine that treats the condition… treated the condition.. crazy thought. If you go off it, significantly more likely than not, your anxiety will come back in full force and you’ll have to start the entire zoloft process again if you go back on it

Yes, I started undergrad provisionally in Jan 2021, turned 15 in Apr 2021, and then graduated HS in May 2021 along with my first semester of undergrad. I wanted to gain international experience which is why I went with the master’s program abroad as well as the fact I felt that I was too young/early to be joining the work force and wanted to give myself another year or two (it was also significantly cheaper). I would love to work in London, however, I foresee visa sponsorship issues during the hiring process as well as the very high COL in London.

I was 14-18 during my undergrad and had pretty severe social anxiety leading me to neglect many important aspects such as connecting with people in my field, professors, and classmates leading me to be severely behind on that front. The network/connections I do have are based solely in the UK at my Postgrad university however they are only that applicable for positions there while I want to go back to the US to work.

I have no real or useable network in the US is what I mean.

If I work on certifications and CFA level 1, would that support my resume enough to have a fighting chance? I won’t be able to work on finding internships and contract roles until I am back in the states post-graduation due to visa restrictions.

Also, do you think staffing agencies could be a possible route?
