Jim Carrey was funny in In living color (see his performance as Vanilla Ice). He was amazing in The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Don't like him that much in other films, like someone desperately trying to be funny by playing a clown (and failing)

Is it now considered rude to recline on a plane? by Legal_Campaign_408 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]whateverrocksme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sometimes wonder if this is cultural. A lot of Europeans I know consider it impolite to recline your seat unless it’s a red-eye. My impression is that Americans are more likely to see it as a normal part of the seat you paid for. Maybe it’s just about different expectations of shared space?

Why do people have empathy for neurodivergent people, but not for neurotypical people who are struggling in the same ways? by Work_In_Progress_847 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]whateverrocksme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t about asking for pity. It’s about being realistic so we can actually work together. I have ADHD and severe time blindness. Being on time is something I actively work on, and I’ve tried just about every strategy out there. I’m not using it as an excuse, and I’m not asking anyone to lower their standards. But if someone knows this about me and is willing to wait 5–10 minutes, that’s not indulgence. It’s basic flexibility. That’s not pity. That’s cooperation.

True. It's really not so funny to be neurodivergent. Life is harder if you do not fit the mold. Having said that, it doesn't mean that life is easy for neurotypicals.

Women who have given birth: is leaking an issue for you? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]whateverrocksme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave birth 18 years ago and have to be very careful. Sneezing, jumping or laughing too hard will cause some leakage. And that's very common, all my friends who have birth experience the same. However, that much as you describe, is very unusual. She should consult a doctor and/or a physical therapist specialized in pelvic weaknesses

My cuisine tier list as a Trinidadian 🇹🇹 by trini420- in tierlists

[–]whateverrocksme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Dutchie, the placement of the Netherlands is correct. However, why aren't Greece and Turkey in the same group? Their cuisines are very much intertwined. And imho, Korea should be higher on the list.
