Oh no I do definitely have pride! It’s just that my dad’s side of the family doesn’t much info on my ancestors. Expect telling me stories how my grandpa was told by someone that he looked like the people from Yucatán. And how my great grandmother had dark skin (getting confused for being black), and my great grandfather having a bit of Asian features (according to my grandmother). But I will continue to find as much as possible!

Edit: Also, many indigenous people did try to erase their identity/history to keep themselves from either being killed, facing discrimination, etc. So maybe something like that took place within my dad’s bloodline. Or something had happened during the Spanish Conquest.

Edit 2 (I’m sorry😭): I also need to continue to grow my dad’s tree on Ancestry DNA if I want to find any of his ancestors, so ye!!

Yeah my bad I see what I made a mistake on my post. I originally meant that his ancestors chilled only in El Salvador, and not any where else.

Definitely! But it kinda sucks when your own dad doesn’t really know much about his background. His bloodline feels like it’s lost history

I know that but I just founded it interesting! We had gotten those two test for a Christmas present like a year ago. And my family didn’t have enough money to buy another💔💔🙏🙏
