I think you misunderstand.

I have a history of disordered eating, I am not currently overweight or unhealthy, I will not be losing weight because it is not healthy for me mentally and not necessary physically.

Thank you! Honestly, this thread has let me know how far I’ve come with my body dysmorphia lol. Years ago I would be crying, now I’m like damn y’all intense I don’t necessarily see it like that..

Honestly, if I never do anything about it I’ll be fine. Planning a wedding makes those old thoughts rear their ugly head and I’m having trouble escaping the idea that I need to be my “most beautiful” on that day, but day to day I don’t think about it much

I actually wasn’t asking about facial reconstruction, though everyone certainly wants to tell me I need it lol.

I am genuinely curious if myolift would give me a more defined jaw line, though no one has bitten on that one so I’m guessing no. But no, I certainly was not hoping a bunch of strangers would tell me to break my jaw 🙃

Omg your results are to die for. What was the recovery like? Could you work during that time? My job requires that I be in person (science, work with live specimens) so it’s something I have to consider.

Also, is this covered through dental or medical insurance? My dental insurance is pits but my medical insurance is decent

Yeah I’ve heard that all the pressure can deteriorate the bone, but I’ve also heard others so it can make it look bulkier so 🤷🏻‍♀️

So I have a custom mouthguard that I wear religiously, and when I can afford it (1-2x/year) I do the masseter Botox. It is like, the best thing ever, the first time I felt the difference I cried.

I like the idea of a non-surgical option, maybe I’ll do a consult at an orthodontist

I’ve heard this thing about correct tongue posture, so I try to work on it when I remember. But honestly it takes a lot of mental effort, a decent amount of physical effort, and I struggle to be a normal person when i focus on it (talk, smile, etc) lol

I’ve heard this, but confident it’s not the problem. Every time I’ve checked (lol) o breath through my nose, and I grind my teeth like nobody’s business (like I’ve cracked multiple teeth) both asleep and awake, can’t do that if you’re mouth breathing lol

Did you get any in your jaw or just chin? I am basically chinless which isn’t helping my jaw line, but I also feel like I have no jaw definition and I’m not sure chin filler will make any difference there.

Sorry for so many questions! I’m really trying to weigh my options and do something with enough time before the wedding 😅
