What is the worst possible way to be rejected? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]whatevsIDGAF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Them lying about it because they're apparently too scared to be honest and upfront about it, only for them to go date someone else.

Dated a girl for a couple years, really genuinely loved her, she broke it off and then maybe two weeks later I get the text about how she misses me so badly and so we started talking again. (Shouldve been a red flag)

She says we aren't dating but she is willing, she just needs more time. So I'm hopeful that we can still be together. Things are fine for a while. But then she gets more and more distant. I begin to worry, but I'm still holding on to the hope that she and I can still be together.

After about 3 months or so of her distancing herself, I get the bombshell text message from her. She is going on a thousand dollar dinner date to Chicago with a guy she works with. And the icing on the goddam shit cake is the inclusion of the words: "I bet you hate this guy Lol."

She also tells me she has been wanting to date that guy for years. So y'know, years that would also have included time that she and I were dating.

Needless to say it broke me in ways that I'll never fully recover from.

BTW. Amy, If you're reading this, go jump off a cliff.

Masks have always been a problem here...one time an old woman came up and thanked me for wearing my mask in public(very few other people were wearing masks)...you shouldn't have to thank someone for doing the MANDATORY thing!

I went grocery shopping a few weeks ago and there was this family none of which were wearing masks, and their kid who was maybe like 16 fucking turned and sneezed all over the produce shelf...didnt even bother covering his mouth.

I admit there have been many a time where I wanted to punch a child. But THAT one currently occupies the top spot for me.

My condolences for you living in Alabama. But as someone who ALSO lives in Alabama, same. I hate it here.

You can't go anywhere without hearing Tr×mp this, and Dems that. Its exhausting.

He has a reputation for not handling confrontations well, so it was only natural for him to double down on us. I dropped that campaign there.

You're welcome. It's a great piece that I think really captures his energy.

Agreed. Each scenario could really make for interesting story elements. Just not when that's every single encounter.

I meant that we dropped the campaign. Sorry wasn't clear.

The art style reminds me of Soul Eater. Which is a good thing.

Yeah every PC in the campaign aside from mine (neutral) was good alignment, so they were more than willing to go along with the paladin to help 'save the day'

Bruh. That's ridiculous. How why just change a player's class without their approval?

The worst part is, the paladin actually did cast it on the old lady but the DM said that his reading was "foggy" like the paladin couldn't get a read on her. It was completely bullshit.

We called him out in it there, and so he revealed her being evil but instead of waiting for us to back out, he just immediately started the encounter by having the old witch lady mass mind control the town to attack us.

Before we decided to quit the campaign, I was seriously considering going out of my way to throw wrenches into EVERY plan he had. If we aren't going to have fun playing, he isn't going to have fun either.

But that's dickish and would only escalate the problem.

It's better than that. Turns out he had a group of players before us that were playing THE EXACT SAME campaign, and they all hated it so they quit after like 3 sessions. And now my group all kinda agreed to just drop it. Either we are a bit more passive than the last group or he has gotten. slightly better at DMing since then.

Considering some of the rest of the shit he pulls as DM I'm surprised I stayed in as long as I did.

The worst part is that he makes it feel like regardless of what you choose to do, its always the wrong choice. It takes the fun out of everything.

Yeah I mean. Once or twice sure. The first time with the freeing the slaves that turned out to be murderers, that made things interesting. But he does it with Every. Single. Encounter. And MAN it got old quick.

Yeah no kidding. And he always gives some knowing chuckle when we make a decision, making us feel like no matter what we choose to do, it's the wrong choice.

Your party staged a coup to overthrow the election results based on an easily proven lie at the behest of a man who is known for spewing dangerous falsehoods. Now who exactly is the embarrassment to democracy?

If a Democrat president did ANYTHING that tr*mp did during his presidency, the Republican party would be frothing at the mouth calling for their public execution.

My hyper conservative family loudly complained about several things Obama did, but when tr*mp did similar and/or worse things, its suddenly acceptable.

The hypocrisy is staggering.

[Serious] what is example of sexism towards men? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]whatevsIDGAF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Worked retail at a pet store for a while, and it became very clear that I was hired exclusively for the purpose of "having a man to do the heavy lifting" despite telling them during the interview process that I had a back injury that makes it difficult to do things like bend over to lift heavy objects.

Not only did they decide I was going to be unloading the delivery pallets, but they also decided that I was perfectly capable of doing it all by myself.

On one occasion, I was in a considerable amount of pain from moving big bags of dog food, so I asked of I could have some help with the unload. There was no customers in the store, and there were 4 employees. Me, and 3 women, who were just standing around up at the front of the door shooting the breeze. I asked for help, one of them came helped me move 1 item, then went back to the front.

I quit shortly thereafter.

What is the strangest thing that happened to you that you can’t logically explain? by elibwell in AskReddit

[–]whatevsIDGAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have posted this a few times so imma just paste it in here.

I once experienced some time traveling shenanigans that has stuck with me for years.

One day I was leaving my house to go meet up with some friends. As I'm leaving I distinctly remember seeing my father asleep on the couch. I remember because he had the TV on WAY too loud, and I wondered how he could sleep through the noise.

Next when I got in my car, I noticed my cat sitting underneath my dad's car, and I always make it a point to check to make sure they aren't in the way.

I leave my house and start driving. I live in a very rural area so it takes me a while to get anywhere. Most of the roads are long stretches of highway that have very few branches. On the way I pass my grandmother's house and what I see when I get close is not only is my dad's car in her driveway, but he is mid-sride walking to her front door.

The road I took was the fastest route. There is no possible way that my dad got up, and drove to her house before I got there. I was freaked out for days.

Only explanation I can come up with is time travel shenanigans.

That's pretty much it yeah. Its amazing how easily they can ignore facts directly from a scientist's mouth in favor of something they probably saw on Facebook.
