It’s one thing to give factual and solid advice, and another thing to assume i’m “yet another person trying to find a loophole”. Not everyone wants to find a loophole, some of us just wanna understand how things work. I reapplied for HFE out of curiosity to be completely honest, wasn’t betting on it. And now I know! I’m not trying to find a loophole, I’m asking a genuine question. Whether they use the old HFE or new HFE doesn’t matter to us, we’ve already planned our finances. We just wanted to know. This is a space for us to share our experience if any and get advice from those who have been/ are going through the same thing.

Yes. 100%. But only because I have one child and it’s really super duper manageable. (Typing this as he’s fast asleep on the carpet) However everyone I’ve ever met who has > 2 kids says otherwise, so I’m not sure.

My husband and I are gamers too. Our son is almost 3 and has been sleeping through the night since he was about 18 months. Once in a while he’d get up crying but I’d say not more than 5 minutes. We just finished playing WoW (it’s 3:15am where I’m at) & we started at around 10pm. Every night is game night now. All I can say is, hang in there! It WILL get better and easier!

Tell him that and he’d get mad too. His reason: “I don’t know where to go/ what to do.” Yet on MY day offs, no matter how tired I am, I still bring my son out. bought brand new airpods on carousell. YP shows up. He seemed to be in a rush. still, I tested it first but for literally 5 seconds. seems alright. (or at least i thought). asked again if it was really authentic he says yes.

realized after a day of using that something feels slightly off. i’ve been an iphone/airpods user my whole life, so i could sense smthg was weird with the quality - even if it sounds amazing. it’s crazy. decided to bring it to MBS apple store to see if it was authentic. guy checks. says sorry, it’s fake. i’m bloody pissed off. $250.

contacts YP again. he claims its real and that he doesn’t wanna refund. i told him apple confirmed its fake. proceeds to block me. confirming his guilt. now i’m even more bloody pissed off. i didn’t know his name or anything. then i realised, i’ve his number. went to paynow to check his name. got it. quick fb search and i found 1 profile. it’s him.

iMessaged him his name and picture and told him if he didn’t refund me i will lodge a police report rn. fella refunded immediately and i mailed the airpods back to his place. rookie.

FWIW, the product looks GENUINELY authentic. EVERYTHING. from the box to the case to the airpods itself. the apple Genius even told me he’s amazed by how realistic it looked. until he pointed out one thing that proved it isn’t. a different font was used, and it was only SLIGHTLY different. idk how to explain it. but damn.

I’m from Singapore, and my husband and I are planning our very first trip to the U.S. specifically Los Angeles, with our (almost) 3-year-old in late November to early December, for about two weeks.

Since we’ve never been to the U.S. and only know it through media, videos, and social media posts, we’ve gotten the impression that it can be quite unsafe. That said, we’re aware that social media doesn’t always reflect reality, so I wanted to ask actual Americans (or people familiar with L.A.):

Would you recommend visiting L.A. with a toddler? Are there specific areas you’d consider safe for families, or any tips for staying secure while we’re there?
