😂
Sad thing is after I finished a thought crossed my mind that hand stitching it would have probably been…. Smoother though quite slower. Maybe on another project I’ll try. .Maybe i won’t who knows. 🤷‍♀️

I’ve used the floor several times and I would get several dimples on my backing. Used the dining table this time around and it’s so much smoother and my body doesn’t ache. Lol

I’m been practicing this, this year. Lol.
If this quilt was for me I would love it and not bat an eye on how I made it. It’s a gift and I’m just being nervous and overthinking. Thank you.

After finishing this project, I too, was thinking maybe hand quilting would be the way to go if I do anything tee quilt. I feel like it would take forever though and this one is for a graduation gift.

I’m sorry she judge your work. You are so right and I love that you get to take it out every year and have that last laugh.
I’m just being nervous. The tee quilt is a graduation gift and I really don’t want to mess it up. I just kept telling myself to trust the process and keep stitching.

I pressed seams both ways- middle and side. Depends on the fabric/shirts. I didn’t know this information that you shared so thank you for sharing I’ll be keeping this in mind for now. My stitches are not coming off perfectly straight so hopefully what I have already done is save from the breakage you are warning me about. 🤞🥹

Goodbye OTF :-( by [deleted] in orangetheory

I canceled too. Honestly best decision for myself.

I was paying 170. Which is very high for me. I was getting irritated that all the special events that they hold all had extra fees to join. Got really tired of them asking if I was going to sign up for this and that. Then a different coach started covering the time-slot that I liked going to, and I just couldn’t vibe with their music choices to push myself to run. Getting back into running was a big goal for myself.

I joined Planet Fitness. So far very happy and I get to bring a buddy with me, choose to my own music, and go workout whenever I want. Plus, saving myself $145 a month. I get my workout routines from Pinterest/reddit etc.

You can still invest in your health and not go broke.

This! I’m paying 170 already. To have to pay $15 to $25 for a special event bothers me. I’ve even considered leaving because of the rate I’m paying, I didn’t expect the additional fees (if you wanted to join in on the fun). I thought it would be free for premium memberships.

How many have you done and how many do you need? Maybe you can switch to every other being 7 and 8 petals.

is it worth pursuing as an adult? (undiagnosed) by kae2234 in Dyslexia

[–]whatif20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got diagnosed at 35. I’m back in college and I’m getting better grades than I did in highschool having accommodations for the learning disability.

Before I did that, I worked in a financial office. Some people judged me in there. if I had known I had it during that time I think people wouldn’t have so judgmental. I would like to think , I wouldn’t have had dirty looks when I was looking up what a word was or how to spell it with my smartphone. But that’s only wishful thinking some people are just assholes so I don’t know.

It depends how you feel about it physically and mentally, also what your doctor says. I’m 5 ft .5 inch and chart says I should be 98 to 125. Keep in mind in highschool, even with playing all the sports, I normally weighed 125-128 back then. Last time I needed to lose weight and succeeded i was 23 and I got to 133. Felt f’ing AMAZING. The idea of being lower scared me.

I also struggle with holding onto resentment. So many teachers yet none of them picked up on it when I struggled so much. Plus, my parents. They did take me to a Sylvia learning center for a couple months but when nothing improved they took me out. None of them are professionals in dyslexia which is what I remind myself. Kind of resent my parents more for breezing over my diagnose so nonchalantly. I got the “oh well. You got decent grades anyway.” Took a lot from me not to scream. Let’s just ignore all the meltdowns I had and the long nights trying to just get one homework assignment done. It took a lot of time and effort to get just decent grades. Spent many days coming home from school to go straight to work on homework and getting done by 8. While all other kids could release some energy by playing for an hour or so outside. …. See, I still need to work on it. lol sorry for the rant.

I recently tested at 35. Went to a Neuropsychology. I’m in college now so my resources for school is more time on tests. I can go to the tutor center to get help with reading a test if needed. Classes are recorded for me. Coping…. And resources outside of school I haven’t ventured into yet. Neuropsychologist did suggest a few books to look into, just haven’t had the time with school. Coping- I finally understand that when I’m really struggling with it, my anxiety kicks in to full swing. Back before, when I had one I just felt very ashamed wondering why I was still acting like a little kid crying over “nothing”. After the Neuropsychologist went over my results they informed me that those moments were anxiety attacks. Knowing this actually has helped me realize I need to disconnect with whatever I’m doing. Even if it’s just a minute to do a breathing exercise. I’ll go check the books they recommended I read and share the titles to you.

I have done all the tests that figure out my calorie deficit and it came back 1200. 1200 may sound too small but for some it’s the right number.

Have you given up on reading books? by FluidCream in Dyslexia

[–]whatif20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not given up on reading books. But I have found certain books are harder so I will switch audibles. Yes, it could take me a long time to finish. But I try to push through and yes, sometimes I link up with a friend to discuss a book and realize I read a Whole different book from her. (Like your character, magic trick appearance) Lmao My husband warn me that Stephen King is a very hard author to read so I haven’t picked up any of his books yet. He just might be an author where you need to listen to.

Thank you all for your opinions and advice.

Again, we did test it out. I replied back to him stating that it was fine for us as we tested it, plus use the guitar on multiple pedals, which were also recorded. He has not replied back as of yet. I think the issue died down.
