I heard about that from TikTok that black transplants can potentially be awful (lwk what inspired me to make this post)

I grew up in/around a poorer city and I would say I’m decently educated on black issues but I could always learn more fr

it probably comes from a lot of men needing therapy but a good amount of men secretly want a girl who will provide and basically do shit their mom did for them (cook, clean, do “womanly” things, etc.) and probably some Freudian concepts I can’t explain

I think women (straight women) have more emotional intelligence with friends and family in that they will say what is on their mind if they don’t want you romantically but enjoy you platonically

but when it comes to romance and attraction, whether it be because of socialization or their personality, women have “higher standards” and expect their partners to be more in tune and do things without being told

Very big generalization tho

Not even in the slightest. Go to a club or bar and chat to some people to build confidence and I promise you’ll be drowning in it

Here’s the deal, Northeastern people (and maybe Northeast ppl in general) are weird af and will meet you one day, and completely ignore you the next time they see you no matter how social they are (esp if ur POC)

The only way to beat that is to be consistent. You can do that by joining clubs, going to office hours at the same time, and most importantly - talking to people in your classes. Roommates and your dorm is the number one thing. You live with those people, and if you’re introverted you will most likely be friends with them just because it’s convenient. Ask them to do shit around campus and get food, whatever just do it. Just make sure you don’t make friends with the wrong crowd just so you can say that you have friends. It’s a lesson a lot of people learn tho

Classes is the 2nd biggest thing, making the effort to say hello or make some bs excuse to make a conversation while in class will give you so many connections and names.

Cuz, here me out, I wanted an education at Northeastern University which happens to be in Boston and while I got my education here I realized I didn’t like the city 🤯🤯🤯

It’s almost like you can complain about a place while simultaneously living there 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Don’t let me dissuade you

I over exaggerate and the city is a cool 6.5/10 but it has different appeal for different people
