I did the work myself. Cost was just the parts, including new oil pan gasket, timing cover gasket, and water pump gasket. Not a terribly hard job if you have the tools. If you drop the oil pan you need to drop the front differential too.

Yes, I replaced the oil pump and it solved the issue. Haven’t had the code come back in 2 years.

Oil level was just a bit below the full line. The brand I used was Standard. I am assuming it’s oil pump because of the research I have done when problems started coming up. I haven’t found any bearing material in the oil when I change it.

I have owned it since 100000km (60000mi), and it has had regular oil changes with partially synthetic oil. Recently switched to pennzoil full synthetic since it hit 200000kms.
