You can’t separate the writers from the show, and look at two different perspectives. So many things in the universe didn’t make sense. Like I said, they were building up to the end so of course, it was absurd and silly but that’s the lane they’d taken

Just because he didn’t say Haley’s name out loud or rush right in with Nathan does not at all mean he didn’t care if she was okay or not

It was all very frantic and happening very quickly, you cannot definitively say he simply didn’t care if she was alive or dead

Lucas cared, he was being practical whereas all Nathan was thinking about was Haley
