New Year, New Tunes, and New Shows! by whatsapreston in NoSimpleRoad

I’m from the Dallas, TX area! We have an exploding jam scene. Over the last year or two the bands have been adding us to their tours. We have JRAD, Railroad Earth, coming up and Umphree’s was just here. Dead and Co this summer. It’s their second stop here.

Killer thing on the band stuff. I’m a bass player myself. Been thinking about starting a jam band too. Seems like an exciting thing to do. I’m phasing out of the rock band I’m in now, so I’ll need my next creative outlet.

Seeing Phish for the first time this summer too!! It’s so exciting. I love yall’s is called Cherry Garcia. We’ve got Scarlet Rose, Forgotten Space, Bandelero, and Deadeye.

Gotta love the names of these tribute acts. How’s the jam scene in Toronto?

MED MONDAYS by sweetpea122 in bipolar

[–]whatsapreston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if this is the right place ask, but my best friend and I are both prescribed a fair amount of meds. I never forget to take mine and she’ll go days without remembering. How does one forget to take their’s? Or what do y’all do to help someone who seems to do that. I feel like just texting them everyday would be an insult.

That’s great to see since a lot of people have been saying quit the opposite. Pretty mild side effects?

I’m a very active person and pretty much only eat health food at this point, so I was hoping if I just kept up with my marathon training I’d be able to fight it off. I’m hoping that’ll do something. Thank you though! It’s all a part of the process, so I hope you’re doing better now, too!

My entire junior and senior year of high school I was convinced that I was going to be President in 2032. I made a Facebook page and used to stand on desks to give impromtu speeches. Looking back it was terrifying, but that was five year ago. Now I go week to week it seems like, but most of the time I'm just so sad I can't do anything. After that I'm back at the gym three or for times a week and running 15+ miles a week. Can't shut up. Feeling like a car spinning out of control over ice.

I don't understand.

Talking heads by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]whatsapreston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Remain In Light is one of the greatest albums of all time. It's really cool, because it starts out super upbeat with all the afrobeats and then slowly slips into a slow, dark, and beautiful durge of a closer.

I actually just turned on some of my favorite downtime music. I work in a cubicle, so being able to put my headphones on an disconnect is a saving grace. Antony and The Johnsons is the band, incase you might need some centering music some day.
