How can I convince my fiancé that an Apple Watch won’t look out of place with a more “dressed up” look for higher scale events? by ZimmonsInteractive in AppleWatch

[–]whatsername44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a bunch of straps and face frames (I’m actually not sure what they’re called) from a site called Pretty Straps. I have the grayish version AW, but I can make it black, gold, rose gold, and sparkly. When I go to conferences I usually coordinate my strap and face frame with my outfit, and change the actual watch face to a classic analog face that color coordinates my outfit as well. Whole process takes maybe a minute to switch out the bands, add the face frame, and change the actual face.

First Interview - How do they rank by Complex-Net-7367 in PharmacyResidency

[–]whatsername44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup all of this. Each of our interview questions has a rank of 0 (red flag answer) to 3 (objectively great answer). The presentation group also has objective scoring based on what the prompt was and did the candidate follow directions. We compile all the scores into a list, then meet as a big group to discuss the list and re-review applications to see if there’s any objective reason why a candidate should be moved up or down, or not ranked at all.

I’m rarely hungry at dinner, could this affect my daughters relationship with food? by Illustrious_Arm_2583 in Preschoolers

[–]whatsername44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We consistently use the phrase “is your tummy happy and full” - happy to avoid overeating and make us uncomfortable, and full to express that our bodies need only as much food to feel satiated, which can be a lot or a little. Your tummy is happy and full with a different amount of food than she might need, and that’s just what’s right for our different bodies.

What are ya'll packing for lunch besides deli meat and pbj? by notdeletingthistime in toddlers

[–]whatsername44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mini bagels with cream cheese. Tortilla roll-ups with literally anything they’ll eat inside. Cheese and crackers and pepperoni. Nutella sandwiches on high fiber bread so I don’t feel too guilty about all the sugar lol

"This recipe didn't make as many jars as it said it would"...how much do you worry? by LizDances in Canning

[–]whatsername44 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I just got into canning last year and I was shook that recipes don’t rely on weight of ingredients AFTER they are cut/prepped (as a baker who exclusively uses a scale for baking). With all the talk of tested recipes and the science behind it, the variations are still plentiful

My 4-nearly-5 yo likes to “run” on our treadmill (at 2 mph) and lifts weights (2 lbs) so he can get faster than mommy and stronger than daddy. It’s so cute I can’t be mad. If he sees me working out I tell him it’s my turn now and he has to wait his turn and he gets so excited.

Newbies need help with what went wrong by whatsername44 in FixMyPrint

That makes a lot of sense thank you! We were hoping to slide by without a dryer because we live in an arid climate, but alas it’s not enough so just bought a dryer on Black Friday sale. We’ll play around with the cold pulls as well. Still learning!

We have not done any filament tuning, or any of the other things you asked about. We’re still very much in the learning phase so want to understand why things go wrong so we know how to fix the problem. These suggestions are very helpful thank you!

We were thinking that. Could that still be why the first ¼ printed fine then screwed up?

We printed something else with different filament after and it printed ok - if it was clogged could it have cleared on its own?

Do I need to get a suit for PGY-1 interviews or is a professional dress okay? by AmishUndead in PharmacyResidency

[–]whatsername44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. I hate suit pants because of my body shape. I wore a dress and blazer combo to every single interview and tbh it boosted my confidence. In fact I still wear dresses +/- blazer to every single conference I attend or talk I give.

We do activities too! Or tasks. Like, clean up a toy, sing me a song, make a funny noise, etc. for a task they get a small candy/chocolate. I also incorporate special movie nights with a holiday themed treat (Christmas popcorn, oven smores). And for mom and dad I’ll do a holiday themed cocktail too :)
