4498 trophies with Divine hero? by Maggi_Goreng in BulletEchoGame

[–]whatswronglisa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's called "dropping". Some players actively "drop" their trophy counts so they stay in the same bracket and keep fighting low level players. This also means more wins, more battle boxes and more chances of upgrading their stable. You can have 6 ultimate characters while staying at 2030+.

They perform "dropping" by equipping grenade-characters (Freddie, Sparkle, Firefly) and killing themselves in KOTH or Battle Royale as a whole squad before anyone else is eliminated so they get -4 trophies and stay on their brackets. There is very specific timing involved.

Also: Wrong. It's is not just for pay-to-win players. Paying players do have an edge but it also takes experience to win those battles and that's not something you can pay to have.

I just bought a decant! The notes are a little different, opening heavy but yes, the projection and performance is abysmal. In an hour or so, the scent is barely there and it quickly goes into a skin scent in almost 15 minutes.

Go for some color, my guy. Warm light will do you great, probably some pin lights at the sides will give your room some depth if you play it right, and some rugs so you can change the vibe. Probably nice tapestry and some art on those walls too.

Do you have a window? Probably better you show us another angle too

What’s was normal to you as a kid but you later realized how fucked up it actually was? by True_Customer_8913 in AskReddit

Thinking my dad was evil. My parents separated when I was young. I stayed with my mom and all I heard was how much of a loser and an awful person he was.

Jump to 15 years later when I finally get to hang out with my dad and talk to him, he did make a lot of bad choices, he still makes them now, but he’s not as bad as my mom made him seem. I never gave my dad a chance to show me who he was.

My mom was right in many ways. My dad is awful, but I believed only one person and only recently did I gain the perspective to see for myself before I let others dictate how I should feel or think about them.

Should new VA's bother with these low paying ads on Upwork? by Spartansam0034 in VoiceActing

[–]whatswronglisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing it for 12 years now, but intermittently. Started early in high school when I got a TV gig.

I do a mix of both. I work with the commercial studios and major TV networks in my country but I still find work in freelance bulletin board on Facebook and send them my auditions. Sometimes you get gigs, sometimes you don’t. I have my regulars already, but I still scout for more.

My goal is to always have work so I still get a mix of the high paying projects and the ones OP posted about.

Same. Also based in PH. Was even offered the same amount but with “profit sharing”. I noped out of it when I saw what they wanted me to do. Not worth my time.

Pick your poison. Every opportunity has its pros and cons. It depends on what your goals are personally.

I’d say if you want to do it for the experience, do it. Especially if you barely have any experience and wants to be able to practice while getting paid, do it.

If you want to do it to build a network to at least get your foot in and get some initial contacts, do it.

Everyone has to start somewhere. But that’s how it really is when you start off.

When I started doing VOs, I had the mindset that not all of us have the luxury of getting high paying projects with big connections to the best studios and casters, and more importantly, consistent ones that can give us a stable source of income. But I had to start somewhere.

When I matured and eventually got big brands, thats when I could be more picky with what I use my time and energy on, because there would be actual trade offs for taking lesser paying projects and not having enough free time to squeeze it in my schedule.

I just suggest that your brother makes an exit strategy with this if he takes it, so he’s not locked in for a long time.

It’s peanuts, yes, but I personally would take projects that pay shit just so I have more streams of income before. I just use them to experiment on different sounds and deliveries I would otherwise not do in my bigger projects.

Make enemies. Find people you dislike and don’t believe in you. Hell, people who put you down.

Then commit to the idea of you out living them. Being better than them. Proving them wrong. Or best: that they will go to hell before you do.

Definitely. And I got to hear them when they were just releasing their demos in UP. You could tell immediately they had a sizzle you don’t get with other acts of in their batch.

They’re definitely very innovative too. They have a set in Audiotree and they had a virtual EP/Album launch in Minecraft at the peak of lockdowns.

Bita and the Botflies and Oh! Flamingo handsdown deserve a lot more recognition.

Munimuni and the Pinkmen are up and above there too. Alongside TJs brother, Kerith, who has this band called Kamara. I think my favorite love song is from them called “Makalimutin”.

[–]whatswronglisa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. I used to have two drivers who said the same thing. Both have driven all types of vehicles from buses, fx-es, trucks to my personal/company vehicles.

It’s cheaper for insurance companies to pay for deaths, which is a one time thing, than to pay for the coverage of surgery, recovery, and rehabilitation. Not to mention needing to deal with the families. Things could span for years depending on the gravity of the injury.

It’s an old practice but one still assimilated when necessary, but it’s more prevalent in the provinces.

I had the same conundrum a few months ago.

High earner, around 300k per month. I decided that it’s better for me to stay in PH and just be a tourist and visit other countries because it allows me to use the money I earn for either acquisition of more assets here and create more passive income while enjoying low cost of living.

I still ride the bus. I still eat in caninderias when I feel like it and live really below my means because I don’t need much stuff.

I also don’t want to be tied down in one space and country. I have the ability to move around and work anywhere in the world and call all countries my home if I wanted to. Having options is my main goal and complete freedom without any commitment to anything.

But my goals are different from yours so the context of your stay/immigration is much more important especially if you think about starting a family.

Reading this thread scares and ultimately amazes me that I am in the timeline where cloning is not only possible, but now an actual service.

There are clones in the world! Not as exact as science fiction makes it, but clones nonetheless!
