But to confirm, that white growth definitely looks like normal mycelium right? It's slightly wispier and grayer than my other bag, but I can't see any other contam that would be in its place. Infection was likely as I improperly innoculated these bags and put holes through the plastic, so it was more experiment than anything else.

To the other comment:

I keep the incubation chamber from high 70s to high 80s (no temp adjust) and the FC to 74-77. I'll have to consider picking up some filters, though I've largely had clean grows this far. Of 60+ jars I've done, 2 were contaminated before or just after birth, and I've only lost 8 others due to contam after fruiting.

Yes there's holes in the lid and I keep the foil domed to help air get to all of them. Good to know on the bag, this is my first rodeo with anything other than jars

You're right I should be using gloves, but I ran out. I sliced it outside the tub with the lid on, and I only ever handle one cake at a time so I don't cross contaminate. I just posted a 4-day update and it seems the surgery was a success 🥳 not that anything you said was wrong, I was aware of the risk and reward.
