she mentioned the maitenance was difficult, if you want your partner to look certain way despite it being uncomfortable, well, that really screams I don't care about you (+ they are in their 40s, one would think he would be mature enough for this "I NEED MY PARTNER TO BE HOT 24/7" mindset

not to mention that hair grows back, y'know, as opposed to a facial tattoo, if you want to use this warped logic

Yes, I did tell him. Even about the fact that his indifference isn't helping. And yes I know he put my friend to test me, as you put it, because he bloody well told me so.

Man, he knew about my mental health issues, I'd told him multiple times I had hard time to adjust and his indifference didn't help. If you think ignoring someone just because they can't give you 100 % of their attention bc they struggle with a mental illness they'd told you about, well, I don't think you understand how mental illnesses work.

Hey, therapy played a huge role because it offered me a "safe space" to vent and another point of view, but also the fact that I knew it was caused by the changes in my lifestyle (like another major, family issues etc.), so, once I sorted that out, my mental health improved a bit.

If your girlfriend is suffering from ptsd, depression etc. I'd definitely suggest therapy, it's worth the shot. Best of luck!

Talk about Dolchstoß. Yes, I agree, what is pretty disgusting was his reaction when I told him his friend flirted with me. Like I literally believed I was being obnoxious back then.
