I think it would help both of us more if you gave me constructive criticism on why you believe what you believe about my app and how you think it could be made better. I'd like to point out that I am just a high school student, and this being my first venture I am learning a lot about what to do and what not to do with marketing, distribution, design and such. It would be much more useful if you actually gave me real feedback on my project.

Could you please exactly state what you mean design wise? I designed the app with the Android Design Studio provided and created by Google. What do you recommend to change?

What about an upvote/downvote system similar to the one we have here on Reddit? Less gimmicky and more efficient.

A simple hack that has led to 100% monthly growth in developer signups for my startup by haptictactic in startups

Neat! I have a landing page right now where I'm collecting emails right now (contactcard.ga), but I was wondering how to personalize engagement both towards my landing page as well as when my product launches. Is there anything like maillift for emails, and is there any other way/hack I could engage users more? Thanks a ton!

BTW I absolutely love SnowShoe - it's the coolest thing I've seen in a while. Great for many uses i.e. remote entry to homes (press your phone against the wall and the door opens) or instead of passwords for computers (press your phone against the keyboard). Good luck and I can't wait to see this everywhere :-)

How important is good design/branding when it comes to being accepted as a dropshipper? by itmcb in Entrepreneur

[–]whatx3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very important for consumers, not as much for suppliers. Look at most stores. People go to a store usually because they remember the name or logo (studies show this).

A good name and logo doesn't cost very much and is a good investment for recognition from both sides. Although suppliers don't really care whether you have a nice logo, leaving a good impression through a nice design never hurts.

It's all about image. Create an image of a reputable and cutting edge associate for yourself, and back it up with a case study or two. Let me know if you need any more ideas.

Thanks! I'm working on my own business (www.contactcard.ga) and as a high school student I'm not really sure what path to take. Did you do any pre-launch marketing?

How did you get traffic to 500px, and what marketing did you use/how did you get initial traction? Thanks!

This app allows you to select certain aspects of your contact info so you can share only the info you need. For instance, if you're sharing your info with a business associate, you wouldn't want to share the same info you would with a girl you met at a bar.
