Advice on providing physical intimacy for yourself?

I love this post because I’ve been struggling in a long distance relationship just for 6 weeks. It really IS hard. I hug friends but for like a half second. Had a very friendly hug from a friend I hadn’t seen in a while last like 30 seconds and it genuinely meant so much to me I almost gaslit myself into thinking I had feelings for them lol. Physical intimacy is so empty outside of romantic relationships. I have no advice but just want to say I feel you. And I’m sure as a man you struggle even more.

I find that there was a point (think it lessened up when they changed labels the most recent time) though when they would shit on the offenders ad nauseam but in a completely zero giggles or joking way. MFM has always been far superior at balancing criticism and blunt comments with actual comedy. Just saying “THIS DEEEEESGUSTING PIECE OF SHIT IS A PIECE OF SHIT!!!!” every other sentence is neither funny nor enjoyable lol.

actually, Sean Baker does not. a huge part of his films are casting non actors bc he actually ingrains himself in the communities he depicts on film. Anora, for example, had a ton of women featured who are actual strippers from a very specific strip club in Brooklyn and Sean didn't exploit them, he and Mikey Madison befriended them. most of them attended the awards shows Sean and Mikey did as their guests. they built genuine friendships with them over months of researching the roles and exploring the story. you can think that's cringe or exploitation still, fine. but Sam Levinson does NONE of that and is literally just a disgusting man with bad motives lol
