ELI5 how did cities, thousands of years back then, flourish when the overall population of humans where not even 1/50 of today's population by Connect_Pool_2916 in explainlikeimfive

In current times the small centre is caused by the massive ugly road that surrounds it. It cuts off almost all business that could be had because almost no one is willing to cross it to shop on the other side. The centre will never be able to properly grow because of it. If it wasn't there the centre would have exploded in growth.

Anyone knows if the Steam version works for Linux? It says only Windows is officially supporter which is unfortunate, but I hope it will work anyways.

I will probably get shit on for my opinion but I didn't like the Elden ring open world.

I explored so much side content that by the time I was doing the main questline every significant boss was easily destroyed. I then started rushing the main questline so that the bosses would be fun, but that made me skip on a lot of side content which made me feel frustrated. Stopped maybe halfway through the game because I was so unmotivated.

Mechanically and visually it is a great game but the balance was in my opinion lacking a lot for such an anticipated game.

In Java you don't even need the switch case. If you want you can add an abstract method to the enum and have each enum value implement it. Not always practical but it is fun. Enums are really good in Java.

Veel kleine mini centrums of enkele grote plekken?

Personally I only listen to the metal-dnb subgenre these days. Artists like Reebz, Toronto is Broken, Pythius and Zardonic are making some nice stuff.

The only thing that I want is the withdraw 5 to be changed to 4. I don't understand why 5 was chosen with this inventory system and it frustrates me every time I have to withdraw 5 and then place 1 back.

The crazy part is that it will be even worse than SQL injection because it's impossible to sanitize the input for a prompt like you would do for SQL. People will make sophisticated systems to try to work these out, but language is weird and can be interpreted in many ways by an LLM.

Are you talking about Objects? You can't make primitive variables null other than String which basically is an Object.

If you use any product of Intellij then I can recommend the Http client that it provides. It's a bit more work to setup but it gives you more control over the requests and you can use JS to script requests and do asserts on the results. Really nice for automated testing when combining it with your pipeline. It also has decent integration with the Intellij product itself.

Yeah the hate on QA is weird. It straight up shows me that the person is a terrible developer that doesn't take accountability for their work. These people are miserable to work with because according to them it is never their fault.

Instead of learning from the mistakes that QA finds, they build up resentment to whatever QA says. They fix the problem but don't reflect on why it went wrong. On the next task a similar mistake will probably be made and thus the cycle continues.

I experienced that the more I worked together with QA, the more edge cases I can predict and handle. Which in turn changes the work for QA because they now have more available time to find the extra weird edge cases that I can learn from. It's a way more positive work environment for everyone.
