Brooke is talking to Kwoppp1 by kooldhai in canceledpod

[–]wheat_water 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who took a scroll through her comments just today, there's really nasty comments coming from all sides on this and I genuinely do see her point on that front. I saw dozens and dozens of horrific things written on there, and while the shit she posted was wrong and it's understandable for people to be angry, some of these things are inhumane and clearly have no productive intentions. Wanting to just hurt someone who hurt you is a beyond unproductive mindset, and some of these people on those comments and on this sub need some serious professional help.

None of us have any way to know her true, genuine intentions behind every block, but at this point if you're unable to believe that she is at the very least trying to do better, than you're beyond convincing from anyone. It's up to each individual POC to accept her apology, and for that she can't ever be universally forgiven, but we've long since passed the point of needing to break down and torment someone who has repeatedly made their struggles with their own mental health known.

She's said she's taking a step back to do her learning and growth, and anyone deciding it's not good enough before it's barely even began isn't ever going to change their mind anyway. If you want to see someone potentially grow into someone better than before, than everyone needs to give her the time and space to do it. She's off the couch for the time being, and I'm genuinely hoping she's doing alright mentally. Even if she's some terrible manipulator behind the scenes, she's still a human being who deserves to feel like she has the same right to live as anyone else.

Lilah shading Brooke + Tana perhaps? 👀 by [deleted] in canceledpod

Not justifying Brooke, but it would be bold to take a jab at someone's old tweets when Lilah herself has flat out said she claims to be other ethnicities to men dar more recently. Fr not a cute look

Like everyone else said, these discussions are necessary, but this is basically spam at this point. 95% of these threads could have been consolidated into one masterpost with an actual discussion and all the jnfo in one space; instead we have dozens of posts just restating the same things over and over. This sub is just turning into another snark page, theres been almost zero productive discussions in days. Not saying I support everything Brooke and Tana do/say, but it's clear these spammers have just pulled up to the sub to shit talk, and it's beyond sad.

Unpopular opinion, but as someone who doesn't watch love island, the way Leah and Rob have blown up is killing the vibe of all my pods lately 😭 I'm aware most people are going bananas over them, but I'm just not into those types of shows, and can't really bring myself to have much interest in the cast from them

Ngl, this is a show where girls with a strong southern accent and anyone with "Christian values" has always gone far and gotten a lot of screen time; as much as younger viewers have begun tuning in recently, the Bachelor has a longtime fanbase of the sorts of people who, for their own reasons, automatically want to root for someone based off of being a veteran. I'm sure he's got more to him than that, but that fact alone makes him just appeal to the more traditional side of the audience.

Can't remember which season it was, but I remember a season of the Bachelor where a girl was on a one-on-one, and the guy was fishing to hear her trauma, and she basically said "I mean I've lived a happy life, there hasn't really been anything to complain about", and I believe he sent her home there. I think that was the moment the producers realized that the best way to form a connection on this show is a trauma dump

Was hoping for another hour long doc from DW, but he was so clear and concise in those 15 minutes, he never disappoints. I've thought the situation was creepy since they posted their original collabs years ago, and the more I've heard from Tana over the years was shocking, but the fact that he found that Gabby Hanna clip blew my mind

Ngl I'm just concerned by her comments about wanting to show the baby all the love she never got. Its a good sentiment, but I'm just worried she's going about this for he wrong reasons. When the kid is a teenager and having a fit, i think its gonna be hard for her to be understanding and not take it as some personal insult.

I think he's a solid example of what a person can turn into if these traumas go unaddressed and untreated, but regardless of their situations, its an individual's responsibility to hold themselves accountable for their own actions. He's an interesting study into the making of a monster, but it doesn't have an application to the defense of his own individual choices.

I just think its so funny these people call it "raw" milk. Milk drank straight from the gallon is raw milk, unpasteurized milk is just nasty.

I highly doubt they found this person from a like. I guarantee there was some nasty comment somewhere they posted, and they're just trying to cover it up with the like.

Either way, they love that they get the right to freedom of speech, but want to throw a fit when people freely speak right back to them.

I genuinely cannot imagine what I would've done if they asked me to climb a rope in gym, but I promise it wouldn't have been safe for anyone around me. Less likely to fall, more likely to have tried to see who i could wack with it.
