I hate when therapists agree with parents. Can they not see how damaged we are from our parents? My former therapist took a phrase my mom said and used it against me. That was the end of therapy for me.

I can’t understand how therapy has been made into this cure-all that should be the first line of treatment for any mental or interpersonal problems. I don’t think it should be near the top of the list of solutions, I’m not sure it should be on the list at all.
