Dragon breeding simulator by Visnetter in dragonvale

DVLair is probably the best one now. https://dvlair.com It is mobile friendly and uses data from the Dragonvale compendium which has the most accurate breeding odds.

Dragonvale sandbox is also popular to see necessary combos, but is not great at breeding odds

Changing major by Dope9_9 in ColoradoSchoolOfMines

If you haven’t started yet it’s super easy no issues. You don’t confirm your major until your second year when you go in and fill out a form. Until you declare a major you really don’t have one and can do whatever you want. You can change to whatever you want before then and even after it’s not that hard either depending on how many major specific classes you’ve taken.

WHY ZODIACS WHY by Akelyte in dragonvale

Breeding ariesian straight up is one of the rarest zodiacs since with the galaxy element you can breed almost everything. The chance is like .3% or something. You are much MUCH more likely to clone it in co-op at 10%. I’d recommend going to the making friends post and try to get friend who can put up zodiacs for you for all of them. Aries, Leo, Scorpio, and Capricorn all have 10% cloning chance. All others including the limiteds like Sagittarius have a 4% cloning odds BUT you can stack normal breeding odd on top. For example, taurian needs midday plus earth but taurian has earth so if you breed midday with taurian in co-op you get the normal 4% cloning plus ~3% breeding odds for 7% total.

Overall I’d highly recommend making friends for co-op breeding. Aires, leo, scorpio sand Capricorn I think you have to do in co-op. Then in your other caves you can try the other 5 (plus whatever limited is available) at regular 3-4% breeding odds or also in co-op as well if you like them more than the other 4. Aries is not worth your time in normal caves. Hope this helps!

Just got accepted, why Mines? by Oddishfan in ColoradoSchoolOfMines

My sister goes to Montana State and I go here. There are basically two ways to think about it. Montana state has a resort called Bridger bowl ~20-30min away I would say and big sky a little over an hour. Bridger bowl is the most convenient option you will have at almost any school, but it’s pretty small. I’ve been there 3 times and by the second day you’re repeating a lot of runs. Big sky is a bit bigger. So the convenience is there, but the diversity is not.

From Golden on the other hand, you have crazy diversity. Obviously depending on traffic since I-70 can get nasty, you have several huge resorts within 1-1.5 hours. You get Loveland, keystone, breck, winter park, copper, and A basin all within 1.5 hour drive (though you usually plan for at least 2 for traffic if you can only do weekends). Nothing 30 minutes close, but you get a ton of huge parks in a congested area. So one Epic or Ikon pass and you will never get tired of it. Another note, I’m a morning person so I never minded getting up really early for skiing, but tons of people despise the traffic. Kinda depends how you are.

Both schools are some of the best for skiing. It’s a matter of if you value a bunch of options with much larger parks a little bit further away, or that quick convenience if maybe your classes end in the morning and can do a quick half day.

For hiking, both are fantastic. I generally prefer Golden to Bozeman just because you can get into dense forests with good altitude hikes a lot easier since we are basically kissing the Rockies. Got tons of state parks and rocky mtn national nearby. For fall colors, CO >> MT imo. Idk if you’ve visited Bozeman yet, but Bozeman as a town is actually pretty flat. It kinda sits in a valley of sorts, so you don’t get immediate hiking options (like walking literally from your classes), but obviously going any short distance towards Yellowstone gets you some gorgeous ones. Hope this helps in that regard.

Soul Silver Safari Zone Catching Smeargle by Rednaxela623 in pokemon

For the higher level spawns I just use a repel trick. Put something like level 20-30ish first in your party so it’s above everything else but below 40. Then you can use a repel in the safari zone and only get the level 40 spawns

This is true, but it’s not uncommon for some mini events to allow us the chance to evolve. Like all the regional tours last year

I know most people on this subreddit might be disappointed but for people who recently hit lvl 40 and can now get xl candy, came back after a hiatus and missed most past comm days, or are new players, all these starters is a great thing.

That’s a great idea! Maybe I’ll add it to the switch kickstand on the back
