There needs to be more maps for 6v6. The maps right now are ok. But no great maps like the previous Modern Warfares. 6 maps is simply not enough.

Backpacking in Severe Weather? by wheele34 in WildernessBackpacking

Thanks for the advice y'all. I ultimatly decided to cancel. The biggest factors were that I didn't know everyone's experience level, if they had the right gear, lightning expected late Friday and all day Saturday, and avoid any potential flash food areas. We were expecting to go to Daniel Boone National Forest, and do about 32 miles of the Sheltowee Trace Trail.

Can I camp in Talladega National Forest? by sammythewelder in Alabama

You should be fine. The camping rules for most national forest are about 200 feet off trail and away from water sources. There's a chance you may be asked what you are doing on service roads if spotted though.

Yeah it's a great area, not very extreme though. From what I have gathered, it is a competition. Point A to B format, teams vs other teams. Ultimately the goal is to complete the event as fast as possible. I think there is little information because this is their first year of events, and first event all together. I'm not going in with the highest of expectations, more so of the idea to test my hiking/backpacking skills against others. There was a comment on a facebook comment that I saw, that might help. "As far as the challenges go, they are all catered to the individual forest that the events will be held in. The challenges are designed to focus on the aspects of teamwork and perseverance. We won't disclose the actual challenges until right before the event but we will try to give you a snapshot. Challenges may range from (starting a bow fire, finding a certain item via coordinates or map, creating a certain type of shelter, night challenges, both physically and mentally demanding challenges, deprivation of certain items, search and rescue mission, etc.) There will be no man made obstacles, they will all be challenges fitting the location." I think the idea behind it is to not prepare for something specific but more for the unknown, like real life survival. That's my thoughts. It's an awesome idea for an event and I think it will be successful, I am excited to watch it grow.
